“Vintage Apartment fantastic for Regular Visitors to tel Aviv.”
Reviewed 10 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

A lovely apartment in a 1920's (?) property. (19 HaDolfin, Yaffo). Our host, Issy, was absolutely charming. We had use of a full kitchen, a spare bedroom and a washing machine and that was most welcome! Wi-Fi naturally and basic multi-channels TV - which we did not have time to use as we were out! There's a bistro/wine bar on the corner and a handy corner shop just around the corner for basics. At the other end of the street, a hummus 'bar' popular with the locals. It's a short walk to the flea-market and old clock tower with a great selection of cafes and restaurants. Also very close to the old town with its windy streets and the regenerated old harbour. We made use of the Tel-O-Fun cycle rental which really extended our range in the city - and several pick-up/drop off points were nearby. We returned to the airport using the mini-bus shuttle, which picks up at nearby Hotel Margosa - a bit cheaper than the taxi, especially if you're a single traveller. As part our our holiday this time, we took the public bus to Jerusalem - very comfortable and convenient. For more history, We took the 1:30 train ride to Acre/Akko - the Crusader port.. Very much a 'multi-modal' transport experience this year! I heartily recommend Old Jaffo as a place to stay.

Liked best: The vintage 'feel' and the locale
Liked least: nothing. I have no criticism but would not recommend this location maybe for a first timer.

“Nice 2 bedroom rental - great Jaffa location”
Reviewed 24 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I enjoyed my one week stay at 19 Hadolphin very much. The apartment is fairly basic, but it's nice and cosy and the owners Issy and Paula are warm, genuine and helpful people. The location is great. A 15 minute walk from old Jaffa flea market, 10 minutes to old Jaffa port and well situated for grocery shopping and the incredible selection of great restaurants in Jaffa. I much preferred this area over the sterile beachfront of Tel Aviv. Issy was great at answering tourist questions, helping to arrange taxis and private tours and recommending and reserving restaurants in the area. I happily recommend this property.

“Great Stay!”

Great apartment. Great host. Great stay! Issy was a wonderful host and I thoroughly enjoyed our wandering discussions and garden visits. We also very much enjoyed our stay in his lovely ground floor apartment. The pictures don't do the apartment justice. It's adorable! 2 bedroom, 2 bath and quite spacious. Beautifully appointed with nice linens and towels, our family of 3 was very comfortable. We loved staying in Jaffa and the juxtaposition of old vs new in tel Aviv was interesting. I highly recommend this host and apartment. You will make a new friend and enjoy your stay.
