Dont expect anything fancy here. You will find mostly locals and some tourists that found it on tripadvisor. And once your done they will let you know its time to move on.. But who cares, they serve some amazing simple hummus dishes that will tease your taste buds and fill you up. The mixed hummus dish (3 or 4 types on 1 plate) exceptional and youĺl want to take home with you for a sunday bbq dip.
Prices are really good for tel aviv, 2 persons big lunch and drink will set you back 15 eur in total.
Visiting Jaffa Port to be filmed by i24 News I was recommended to eat at this unassuming restaurant just up the hill by a fellow yachty.
Simple, easy, fresh and solid food.
Abu Hassan specializes in hummus and is known to every local in the area.
While there drinks are limited to bottled water, juice and soda .. I found a nice Turkish coffee just up the road after.
Would highly recommend for an easy, quick and healthy lunch of some mighty fine hummus in the old town of Tel Aviv!
It was fabulous street food!!!
The two types of humus were fabulous. Tasty, fresh, and as soon as they sell out whatever batch they made in the morning they close up for the day - typically by around noon.
Go early and be happy!!!
Met friends for lunch and decided on Abu Hassan. The lunch crowd was a mix of locals and tourists. The food was excellent: fresh, tasty and filling. No frills. Hummus, fresh pita bread, salad, felafel, french fries, lemonade. Don't need more than that. Except maybe more of the same in take home containers, which I got as well.
