The first thing you know after entering Tandoori is that you are in for a royal treat. The welcome (Namaste) is always warm and friendly. The soft Indian classical or Bollywood music is a pleasure to hear. The service is warm and helpful...they go out of their way to help first timers choose the best meals. The lentil, tomato or vegetable soups are all yummy. The nans like garlic, mince meat, plain, the cheese nan (Indian version of Italian pizza), the kulchas or the Tandoori roti are all delights to eat.The starters like the vegetarian, lamb or chicken samosa, the onion bhajia are awesome. The chicken or fish tikkas or chicken wings are yummy. In the main course the chicken korma, vindaloo, the rogan josh, the chicken and lamb biryani are excellent. The yellow lentil dal is also very good. By the time we got to the desserts we are stuffed but had to try the yummy gulab jamun, carrot halva, vermicelli kheer, rice pudding and the pistachio kulfi. To end this fabulous meal one must try the masala tea.
A suggestion try the lassi's too. They are all delicious.
Tandoori is the best place for Indian cuisine and has been in Israel for over 30 years managed by Reena & Vinod Pushkarna.

We ordered the business lunch buffet. Choices were regular rice, regular red beans, regular tomato soup, israeli salad options, a plate with potatoes and eggplant, meatballs, a poor excuse for veggie curry, and a skillet with chicken and fish tikka. I've tried Indian food several times and this was nothing like it. The food did not look fresh, the service was slow and I will definitely not go there again.

Tandoori is supposed to be a great Indian restaurant in Israel so my wife and i decided to go there for a buffet and try it out.

We came to the restaurant and it wasnt full so we got a sit right away, this was the good part.

Almost no one here speaks Hebrew which wasnt a problem but a bit weird.

The buffet itself was very poor. There was a choice of 3 vegetarian side dishes, rice and some souses. In addition if you wanted you could order one meat (chicken) dish which arrives to the table only when/if you request. It's not a bad thing because after all you get it fresh when you order but it was weird that in a buffet you have to order something from a "menu".

The vegetarian side dishes were just o.k and the chicken tikka that was fine nothing more than that.

Maybe we left so disappointed because we came with big expectation (again it should be one of the best if not the best Indian restaurant in Israel) but i can say for sure that we will not be going back there again.
