Stayed 1 night due to saving budget during baby moon at Bandung, since 2 nights before stayed at Padma Hotel.
Our first impression was a good idea to stay in this hotel because we interested with the pool, but unfortunately our impression soon decreased little by little until the biggest dissatisfied happen at the last day.
During check in
The receptionist undertook to follow my request about the lowest floor as possible for us (2nd floor), but at that time 2pm the room still not ready yet, I heard from her handy talky that the housekeeper being setting up the room. By that situation the lady told me to wait 10-15 mins, but eventually the room was ready by 25 mins later.
Also during awaited for the room to be ready, I saw a foreigner man with suit seems like the Hotel management being busy moving around the lobby with his colleague for several time, I was trying to not affected with their movement, but then it became annoying me. we came to the hotel to find some relaxation and having a beautiful surrounding, not a rush thing like this.
Inside the room
Without any precaution from the receptionist, unfortunately our room located at the corner of the building and passing 1 out-of-service lift and 1 meeting room, the shame thing happen when we went to the swimming pool, we need to walk passing the crowd participant from the meeting room due to that out-of-service lift.
More over, we smell cigar smoke inside the room, fund sofa's leg broken, empty tissue box and not functioned "toto" hanger cloth.
Swimming pool
I will not criticise the pool's deep, I know it built by design, but we felt (again) disappointed when the guard warn me when my wife did not wear a swimsuit inside the pool, I know it our fault but also the hotel warning sign did not mention it.
Another thing, the guard and the other hotel staff have different information about taking the towel inside the room, the guard said maximum by 6pm the towel must be taking back, and the other said no problem just take it, soon they will be take it back.
Allowing food delivery carrier using a room call
I write this because I have comparison from our hotel 2 nights before, the previous hotel let the food delivery carrier using a room call when he/she came to the hotel with the meal, it just a pity when Mercure hotel just let the carrier to make a phone call by their private cell phone rather than helping him to made a room call.
Missing my cell phone during breakfast
At least I was the second person who left private device unintentionally and the Hotel's reply was unacceptable. the security guard have low low response, even taking me into HRD room, more over the woman inside the HRD room stated that they were being working, what kind of answer was that? Remember that your security who took me there.
1,5 hours since first contact with the security then got the proper hotel staff who can process my incident.
I did not allow to watch the cctv recorder because of another SOP, but the way how they analyse the cctv really really not competent and focused to my mistake or limitation camera frame only other than focused on my cell phone location or some suspicious movement around my desk, also how could they just analyse from 1 cctv only inside the restaurant.
Many things were going wrong!
