Our family of 4 (2 college aged kids and parents) stayed at the Iman Villa # 2 for 3 weeks. At first, we were off-put that the Villa was 1/2 mile from an auto accessible road, but grew to appreciate this. The restaurant across the rice field had wonderful food, despite slow service - we never received our meals at the same time, but for us it was not the problem than it seemed to be for other tables. The villa definitely needs some maintenance, but we loved that the common areas had a lot of light, we had adequate cookware & cooking facilities. It was problematic to request early breakfast, as our hostesses often were delayed due to "traffic." We often requested that they leave eggs and bread so that we could make our own breakfast on days that we desired an early departure. We had some wonderful massages arranged by Kadek at the Villa. We observed rats in the house, and often had rat excrement on the kitchen counter in the mornings...I think it would be beneficial to trap/eradicate rats in the household.
Overall...I would say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have been to Bali many, many times ( beginning in the 1980s), and miss the gracious non-revenue generating interactions with the local people that we have loved in past years.I so not feel that Kadek and Made were able to provide significant cultural or community information . We chose to arrange for drivers and activities on our own.
Kadek and Made did an amazing job cleaning our Viilla.. Next time, I would look for a better financial deal for simililar accomodation.
Clean, comfortable villa which is well-maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was good. Option is also available for staff to cook dinner as well- well worth it because it's delicious!
Location is very quiet and peaceful but it is a 20min walk (at least) to the edge of the tourist town so taxis are the best option to get to the market, monkey forest etc.
It's a 10mins walk from the car park to the villa which if you have young children can be a problem (particularly in the rain). If you're on a moped, you can ride straight up to the front door. Would recommend this villa.
The villa was nice and the staff was very friendly. The pool water was very cold though but we're wimps. Great quiet location down rice field lane, about a 5 min walk to the taxis and a 5 min taxi ride to the main street.
The water pressure in the shower wasn't so great and the temperature didn't get very hot for the shower. But the living area was spacious with lots of comfortable furniture around and everything was clean and tidy.
Good place for coffee just up the lane and plenty of places to buy drinks, etc, nearby.

We liked the amenities, location, and quietness of this villa. The pool was a tad chilly, but otherwise awfully welcome at the end of a hot/humid day. We were within walking distance of a few shops and small restaurants, which was nice. I bit farther to the grocery store, which was large and had a lot of items. The staff was lovely and helpful, booking scooters, drivers, laundry, and other outings for us. The AC was not strong, but it was present. The bathrooms are large, and have open windows to the outside (no screens). This drew in a few bugs in the bathrooms - not a huge deal. Hearing all the night critters outside was a hoot - some of those frogs sounded as big as sheep! Cable TV and wifi worked just fine.
