“Traveling Guam Family”
Reviewed 4 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

What an amazing holiday we had! My family (myself, husband, 5 year old and 6 year old) stayed at Villa Siri and it was a dream! The scooter ride to the villa, walking to everything we could ever need (including the amazing Luxe!). Staff who seemed to always be there when we needed them, (especially when we walked many kilometers in the wrong direction and they picked us up). Beautiful breakfasts made to order (try the banana pancakes!!!).

Close to Monkey forest, Elephant Safari, Mt Batur and the beautiful works of art that are all around Ubud! We did not want to leave!

As other reviews stated the pool is COLD on the border of frigid but only because we have no idea what real cold is coming from tropical weather ourselves.

You will not regret Villa Siri!

It was such a pleasure having you and your sweet family stay with us! There are times when a very cold pool is a delightful respite from the heat of the day; we are looking into getting solar panels for those other times. Our discreet staff are always there when needed, and all of them fell in love with your children! Please come visit our corner of rice field paradise again soon.

“Absolute Bali Bliss”
Reviewed 26 December 2016 for a stay in June 2016

My apologies for the late review, we stayed a few nights back in June at Villa Suri, as our friends were staying about 100m up the rice walk at another villa owned by Kasey. Villa Suri is exactly as described, such serenity and true Bali, the villa was exceptionally clean, the staff were like magic little fairies, you barely saw them but they seemed to appear just when you needed them. Breakfast was lovely and can be served at what ever time you like. The pool is small but adequate, no room to really sit around it, and doesn't get a lot of sun but that can be a plus too. Gebe the villa driver promptly picked us up from our hotel in Legain and gave us running commentary on the trip to Ubud. The Villa is not accessible by car being that its right in the middle of the rice fields so the last bit of our journey was a quick trip on the back of a motor bike. The villa is about 15 mins walk into town through the rice fields, there is one steep hill for about 50m but if required the staff will come and pick you up on the motorbike. If you want to experience the real Bali, want a bit of time out from the busy Kuta or Legian then I would totally recommend a stay at Villa Suri. There are three or four other villa's owned by Kasey right next to Villa Suri so it would also be a great place to stay in a group as you could all be together but still have your own privacy too. Kasey is fantastic to communicate with and very helpful, will definitely see you again someday Villa Suri.

Thank you for your comprehensive and wonderful review! You are correct that our staff is happy to whisk you to the villa on motorbikes if you are tired from the day's adventures. Serenity and relaxation are indeed words that perfectly capture the Villa Siri experience. We look forward to your next visit.

““Little Gem in the middle of the rice fields””
Reviewed 18 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

My experience at Villa Siri exceeded my expectations in every way. I don't have enough good things to say about this place. First off the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, genuine and extremely personable. The owners were very quick to respond and helped with my travel arrangements, they made my experience stress-free, thank you! The view from my villa was absolutely breathtaking. The villa is situated in the middle of the rice fields which made for beautiful walks and loads of options for joggers, serenity at its finest! The villa is about a 12 minute walk from the busy streets of the village. The staff provides door to path bike service at no extra cost. Brilliant! If you're not up for the walk, there are plenty of amenities nearby, including a cozy restaurant with a beautiful menu 20 feet from your door step. The villa itself is fully loaded, with a well-equipped kitchen, elegantly furnished living area, an expansive deck complete with outdoor furniture overlooking the rice fields, a private swimming pool to enjoy on extremely hot days, free high speed internet, AC, satellite TV. I found this villa extremely comfortable, peaceful, quite with spacious rooms that were very clean and beautifully decorated. It made me never want to leave. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I highly recommend this villa. First class in every way. I will definitely be back!!!

“What we were hoping for”
Reviewed 5 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

My wife, toddler and I stayed at Villa Siri for approximately one week looking for a peaceful, quiet and a bit exclusive location, and we certainly got it. Not only was the accommodation itself brilliant, but so was the staff. We were well taken care of.

The villa was clean and laid out well, which was great for our crawler. Plenty of tv options, no problems with wifi and the mobile/cellular phone to contact staff is a great idea. The kitchen was very useful, the bed was comfortable, the bathrooms were spotless and overall felt quite upscale in comparison to other SEA accommodation. We had no complaints. The two best aspects were the balcony and the pool. I would wake up with my toddler at dawn and sip coffee as the sun came up over the gorgeous rice paddies. It's a tranquil experience I couldn't really put into words. In the afternoon heat, we made use of the courtyard pool, it became our afternoon retreat with drinking coconuts and bintangs from the folks selling refreshments a few meters away from the villa.

We splurged on the associated drivers a few of the days, and explored the greater area. Our driver Gede was on time, friendly and knowledgeable, which we appreciated since we were with him all day. One of the days he became concerned that something happened to us and walked the distance to the waterfall we were at to check on us. He would hand us cold bottled water after being in the heat for a few hours. Thankfully he was also available for a 3AM pickup for a volcano hike. I'm glad we had Gede as our driver.

The nearby Warungs that served food were all fantastic, but we did end up relying on delivery service for food several nights. One of the staff's family members brought us food from their restaurant during a downpour, and it was incredibly convenient.

This villa is about a 15 minute walk from the busier streets of the village, and in retrospect we are very glad we didn't stay anywhere else. It was beautiful away from the busy streets.

I should mention there was an error with our payment, and the owner did all they could to assist us in securing our holiday. Again, something to be grateful for.

Looking back, it was exactly what we were after and I'd certainly recommend it. Perhaps some day we'll make it back.

“Perfect villa, perfect position”
Reviewed 25 October 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This one bedroom villa is great value. Positioned in the rice fields but still only a 10 minute walk into town. Kasey, the owner was extremely quick with our enquiries and payment was so easy using PayPal.
The villa is beautiful. Well equipped with a small pool. Mind you the pool doesn't see much sun so it is very refreshing. Some may even say cold. Wifi is better than we had in a large hotel in Sanur. You are well looked after by the lovely staff. Your breakfast is cooked in your villa each morning. The staff are always around if you have a problem but are not intrusive. You are given a mobile with all the contact numbers free of charge which I thought was a nice touch.
As I mentioned, town is only a 10 minute walk but there are nearby warungs if you can't be bothered.
We have been to Ubud a number of times but never stayed in this area. Such a quite, peaceful spot. I'm sure we will be back.

You have really captured the Siri experience, and we thank you for the exceptional review! The pool is indeed refreshing from the heat of Bali, and we are checking into solar pool heating for milder days. Our well trained staff have perfected the art of stealth, and always seem to know when to be there!
