Lovely, quiet and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone staying in Ubud wanting the convenience of a central location as well the genuine hospitality found in a family run guest house. There's a great pool and delicious food also!

The moment you crossed the door of ketuts place you know that you are in a special place. The entrance is a family temple and the rooms are at the back of the temple. All the room have a typical indonesian architecture which are dissimulated in the beautiful garden/temple.

We were located at the top of small tower.
The room was on of the cosiest, the bathroom was nice with decent water. Sometimes the hot water was not available.
It was really clean. Every morrning you can ask to have your breakfast where you want, so we took at the top of our tiny tower with the view on the roof of ubud. The only thing I would change is the matress that was smelling like humidity.

The pool is nice, but I would suggest to go in the morning because in the afternoon it is in the shade.

Located 600m away of the busy streets of Ubud, only the doves will try to wake you up.

To sum up one of the best have been in Bali

Our recent stay in June was a return stay for us (we previously stayed here in Feb 2016) and it was just as lovely!

We stayed in a beautiful double room next to the pool - and everything was very comfortable, clean and a wonderful combination of modern (lovely aircon!) and traditional as the rooms have beautiful Balinese design touches.

Once again, everyone in the family that we encountered was friendly and helpful and it was so lovely to feel welcomed back!

The location is perfect for visiting places in and around Ubud - it’s a comfortable walk to the centre for shopping or activities, and a short ride away from slightly further attractions.

There is an on-site coffee shop as well as the poolside breakfast restaurant. The pool is refreshing and the view of the river is lovely from the pool deck. Breakfasts options vary and can be booked the night before and served at your room or in the poolside restaurant. You can also book an on-site massage.

Would definitely recommend the Kecak show (just check which days of the week this takes place) - it’s a wonderful storytelling experience!

Can’t wait to visit again!

We booked Ketut's Place via a 'stick a pin' method of choosing, there being so many accommodations to choose from in Ubud. We were using Ubud as a short stop over on our way to New Zealand and really hadn't got a clue what to expect other than the reviews mostly seemed positive although we were concerned about some of the bad reviews, What we found was a warm welcome. Ketut had arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport and despite being nearly 2hrs behind schedule our driver was sitting patiently waiting for us. Our deluxe room was lovely with a huge verandah, it was meticulously cleaned each day and our breakfast served outside the room. The one minor drawback was the 46 steps down the ravine to the room - we took them slowly! However it meant that the room was cool and very private. All facilities were provided including bottled water, mini safe and international plug adapters with clean towels daily. The staff were friendly, cheerful and helpful - I felt sorry for the lads who happily lugged our heavy baggage down and back up from our room. The gardens are beautiful and the swimming pool, whilst small, is perfectly sufficient. We had 2 wonderful massages whilst we were there. There is an all day limited menu which we took advantage of several times. It is a 10minute very slow amble to the crossroads by the Palace in Ubud and whilst the pavement was uneven and had the occasional scooter parked on it, we never felt in danger. We would return in a heartbeat.

Room tip: Our deluxe room had air conditioning. Room 8 is down 46 steps so best avoided if you are not reasonably mobile.
