This was my first trip to Bali and i absolutely loved it! I was initially looking to stay at the Alam Shanti, it's sister accomm place but it was fully booked. This place was beautiful with a very Balinese artistic feel about it. it felt very authentically Indonesian as compared to the resorts at Nusa Dua, which I was at the previous days prior. The daily breakfast was sumptuous and very generous; as was their afternoon tea. I would place my breakfast order the night before and they deliver either to my outdoor lounge or I could join the other guests at the communion breakfast lounge. I met another German family with their 2 kids whilst staying there and they were living in Singapore at the time. They were great company for breakfast!
This place is not where Ubud central is (i,e Jalan Hanouman or Monkey Forest Road) BUT there is a bike/pedestrian lane that runs alongside the Monkey forest attraction and it links Monkey Forest Road and this place. Just watch out for the monkeys - they are not my fav. It's a busy lane so it's pretty safe during the day.
They could also arrange your airport transfer and they provide daily shuttle to central Ubud. Cafe Wayan is where the drop off and pick up point will be.

Myself and partner stayed here in September 2018. The place is lovely, our room was fab. The breakfast on our balcony was great. The pool area is beautiful and very quiet. The people were so helpful and organized transport for us at reasonable prices. You are within walking distance of ubud, I recommend going through monkey forest, yet not on the busy streets. It is very quiet and chilled out. The free shuttle into ubud is great too for the evening! Would definitely recommend!

We adore Alam Jiwa. So peaceful and beautiful ❤ far enough away from Ubud center to be away from the madness, but close enough to wander and explore.
Gorgeous staff who make you feel at home! And fabulous breakfasts!

Found this hotel on trip advisor, and wanted a treat whilst in Ubud.

What a fantastic hotel. I knew this was going to be good following trip advisor, but wow.

We were greeted by two men who quickly took the bags out of the car and up to the room. Excellent service here from start to finish. Welcoming staff who cannot do enough for you.

Grounds are amazing, with a lovely pool area. The room we had overlooked the rice fields. Absolutely stunning. The room itself was amazing for the price, the bathroom was huge, and all very clean.

Breakfast was excellent, good choice and lots of it. We had our breakfast on our terrace as the view was so incredible! Outdoor shower, again with awesome view.

Shuttle service was great. As lo g as you give them 30 minutes notice they will pretty much drop you anywhere in about a 4 mile radius. They will also pick you up from the restaurant as long as it is not past 930. This service is free!!

Near monkey forest and about a 15 minute walk to the centre of Ubud. The taxis are however so cheap (approx 50/60 rob = £3!)

They also offer afternoon tea (coffee and cake between 3 and 6) this again, is free!!

This was an amazing hotel, so glad we booked. Would stay here again in a heartbeat... Thank you.

This hotel is a gem, hidden away in Ubud down a track. It has stunning gardens in which the individual apartments are set, with balconies overlooking the paddy fields where a fabulous range of breakfast is served. It also has a lovely secluded pool area. The rooms are wonderfully appointed with luxurious bathrooms with jungle showers!
There is no restaurant but there are plenty of good places to eat a short walk away- we can heartily recommend the Laka Leke with its live dance performances...
