I read few recent reviews criticizing the company - not sure why.
Yes, the trek to the starting point is little slippery but it is ok. I would not recommend kids/old people because there are steps and you need to be careful.
The instructors were also fun though few might seem inexperienced but since 7-8 rafts go together it is ok. They were infact trying to make the entire journey for us fun.
We stop midway at a waterfall - do a quick swim and stand below the strong waterfall.
At the end, we were satisfied with the entire experience. We stopped midway for a quick drink or two which is expensive as expected but worth it.
Yes, the photos and videos of the experience from them is expensive. I would recommend carrying phones in water proof covers to click photos yourself. Phones can also be given to the instructors and can be asked from them anytime for a quick photo.
Yes, they do say that they are giving a special price but we were ok with our price. We did not eat their food so no comments on that.
I would highly recommend everyone for the awesome rafting experience but for extreme adventure seekers - this might not be the activity.

we booked the tour through our host at our airbnb. We are picked up by a free shuttle to our white water rafting destination. They dress us up in the gear, gave them a receipt that was stamped saying paid, signed the waver, and we arrive at the river and as we are walking and half way down. The tour guide gets a call, saying we can't go rafting. Apparently the wrong tour bus came to pick us up, we were with the wrong company??? We argued with them telling them we paid and finally 30 min later after arguing, many phone calls to the boss with broken English, and other rafting tourists sticking up for us, they let us come with them. Was such a hassle!

This was one huge disappointment in regards to the organization behind it.

There's no doubt that the rafting itself is beautiful and in a truly spectacular setting. However there are many other companies and this is not one to choose.

From the second we arrived the quality of service was terrible. We started by paying the "fixed" price and were told not to talk about how much we payed with others, as they claimed they had given us a special price. We never would have, but this sentence made us curious.

We then waiting one hour fully equipped in the sun. No information, no water despite asking several times.

When we finally left, we drove in a highly unsafe car to arrive in a beautiful setting with a very steep walk down. We were fine but others struggled tremendously and this should have been informed.

Upon arrival at the lake, we were sitting in the sun with no information for another 20 minutes. Once we left it was gorgeous but over boat broke after only 15 minutes...

After the rafting more stairs awaited - again we were fine, but others struggled and no warning. During our trip we learned that others payed almost have as much as us. When we came back to the starting point, we complained about the situation - not so much that we were naive enough to pay the full amount but that they had the audacity to lie about it.

All in all - choose another company.

To sum it all up, lies, lies and more lies.

Safety seems to be non existent. Inexperienced staff barely in their early twenties and ours was a teenager!!

The others that have posted good reviews were the fortunate few - trust me. Our guide was the next best thing to useless and caused by his total and utter lack of experience our boat to capsize.

I kid you not when I say it was nothing shirt of a miracle that my young boy aged 7 did not drown and that the rest of the family were dragged approx 20 metres downstream, whilst I myself went the furthest at approx 40 metres.

It is dangerous and these companies are ill equipped, if at all do deal with anything like this. In fact the steep steps (if you can call them that) were a give away looking back at what was to occur. Those steps are lethal. They are worn away, in some places filled with mediocre sand bags which have worn away.

Be warned. If you do this you should be prepared to go in the river and get hurt. We all survived but our numerous cuts and bruises are testament to why not to do this, especially with Grahar Adventure white water rafting.

Where do I begin, we got to the place where we signed up for the white water rafting & paid. We are a family of 4 (2 adults & 1 teenager aged 17 & 1 child aged 7) .
We were assigned a instructor for our raft called Billy who we were told was I his last year of education making him 18. We were concerned that he was young& inexperienced however we wanted to trust the company and what we were being told.

The raft could hold up to 6 people & 1 instructor, we were placed with 2 other women who were also quite young. We then were told to walk to the river which was down 300 stairs!! They were very steep & slippery we were very concerned about our 7 year old however we luckily were ok.

To shorten up the experience for you, everything was going great!! We were having so much fun until around 15 mins before the end of the rafting. We were in the middle of the rapids when we saw there was a large rock under a tree & our instructor said to paddle backwards, all the other boats had gone passed us. We hit the rock & the boy started to fill with water, the boat toppled onto all of us & me (17 year old), my mum & dad all got swept away by the currents, I was the first to go & was more concerned about my 7 year old brother, I got dragged under the water many times, I have cut all my legs open as well as my feet as many times I tried to stand up but I got dragged under every time I did. My mum & dad held on to each other trying to look for my brother but they hit a rock & my dad carried on getting dragged down the river.
NO instructors in their boats stopped or looked back to try& help us.
One boat eventually stopped once I grabbed on to a rock & my mum shouted for help.

A gentlemen came out of the boat to help me NOT the experienced instructor, as I was traumatised, in shock & didn't know what to do, he helped me on to the boat & his wife comforted me.
They then helped my mum & my dad got saved further down.
After that we got rowed back to the end which was 5 mins down the river.

We were all in shock me the most, we met with my brother at the end and he saved him self by holding onto the top of the boat & the instructor grabbed him & the 2 other ladies & carried on down the river.

We got back to the office where we started & complained to the manager they were not interested & laughed in our faces. We were disgusted & in the state we were in did not want to stay and argue, they were more bothered about the money we owed for the drinks we bought at the half way mark.

Overall we had a terrible experience & would not recommend anyone to go with this company! The river itself would have been ok as it wasn't too rough but without the experienced instructor & correct safety gear we were all at risk! This only happened an hour ago & I thought it best to let you all now so you can make your decision whether you would like to raft with this company!
