We stayed here 2 nights. We were actually booked in to stay at there sister hotel Komaneka Monkey Forest but were upgraded to their new hotel Rasa Sayang as the other hotel was booked out. We were escorted down to their new hotel and greeted with the nicest drink i have ever tasted of carrot, honey, pineapple and soda water (yum). Our room was amazing, a petal heart had been placed on the bed, and they daily provided in the room a jar of small cookies and a bowel of fresh fruit. The bath was huge and comfortable for 2 people to relax back in. Breakfast is ordered from a manual and absolutely delightful with options to suit all included those on a diet ( egg white omlette is an option).
The hotel is situated next door to restaurants and shopping and the monkey forest just down the road.
Would definitely stay again next time and try to take advantage of their internal hotel activities ie craft and yoga

Excellent stay at the new Komanka Rasa Sayang. Rooms are spacious and bathroom is impressive. Deep bath tub, separate his/her basin, rain shower, separate toilet.

We paid around $220 AUD a night. The hotel is located in the heart of monkey forest road in between the monkey forest and market/palace. Breakfast very impressive, wide selection and plenty to fill you up. Afternoon tea we only ate once as we were mostly out but that occassion was nice. The prices on the restaurant menu were also reasonable although we didn't get the chance to eat lunch/dinner there. We had breakfast in the room one morning and that was great. It all comes up in one go so a lot quicker to eat then head out and visit Ubud. Eating in the restaurant over looking the pool was good too but a bit slower for food to come out. Guess its at a more relaxing pace where your meals are cooked to order so everything comes out piping hot.

Hotel also offers free one-way transport to restaurants, day spas, attractions around Ubud. You need to find your own way back, although if you really needed to you could ask the hotel to pick you up even though we didn't but could have. Swimming pool is very small, just good for a dip and some wading around. They have free computers with internet but no phone or printer. 2 computers in a room free for guests to use.

Balcony on hotel room (we were on 3rd floor) didn't have a view... don't think any of them had, but it was private. Didn't really hang out there except for breakfast one of the mornings.

Only gripe if you call it that is when you book your activities through the hotel you will be charged Full Price. They don't negotiate on your behalf, so when you turn up to these activities you will find that you have paid 25 - 50% more than everyone else. Suggestion is to just book through a tour or one of the outlets in the streets. It would be nice if the hotel had a reasonble discounted rate (even if its 10% or 20% which is still well below what you can get outside of the hotel) going with these tourist attractions as bargaining/haggling is the Bali way and having to pay full price makes you feel ripped off.

Other than that the place is really nice, food good, staff exceptional.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are the same... probably go for a high floor... noise is not a problem.

Rasa Sayang is the newest of the Komaneka hotels and was beautiful even compared to other 5* hotels. It is a small hotel; the rooms and staff were absolutely wonderful. It was one of our most pleasant stays in our 5 weeks in SE Asia. Breakfast was included and they allow you to have breakfast at their other hotels so we stayed 3 days and had breakfast at our hotel, one day at Komaneka Bisma and another at Komaneka Monkey Forest. All were beautiful with excellent breakfasts. Rasa Sayang is in the middle of Ubud & walking distance to most things.

This is a fairly new hotel, opening July, 2011. They have four here in Ubud, we have visited 3 and found them tastefully decorated, grounds carefully groomed and lush. The staff is very caring, efficient, friendly and they smile. Our room was approx 1,000 sq ft and marble floors. The bed is king size with reading lamps. The bath area has a dressing room, a safe, separate toilet, huge shower, comfortable bathtub, and double sinks. A deck off of the room with a seating area for 2, and a sofa. The view is of rooftops and palm trees. The breakfast menu is full of many choices. Traditional, Balinese, Indonesian, Westen, or a Komaneka signature breakfast. The hotel is located in central Ubud, walkig distance from everything. The town is full of excellent restaurants. If I ever come back to Bali, I would visit this hotel and stay longer.

We were booked in at komaneka, monkey Forrest. We were offered an upgrade on arrival as they were promoting new hotel. We were very happy and well looked after by the very attentive staff during our 3 nights stay. we attended a traditional dinner and show which was fantastic. Day spa was great also. I wouldn't recommend for young family's as the pool doesn't cater for kids. I would have no hesitations in recommending this hotel.
