“Best day in Bali, despite small challenges. Outstanding guide- G'day!”
Reviewed 31 March 2012

In Bali, everyone is a tour operator and it's often difficult to know whom to trust and make a deal. We lucked out with the recommendation to go through baligobike.com for our bike ride down the mountain; it was simply THE BEST! There are several larger tour operators who run similar rides and offer different amenities, but baligobike, and our guide, g'day, were awesome. There were only a few of us on the ride (6) and we first stopped near the lake and crater for a light breakfast and breathtaking view. Next, we were dropped off on our bikes complete with gloves and helmets, and began our nearly 4 hour journey mostly down the mountain. En route we stopped to chat with working artisans in small villages, learn about rice production, temple customs, and Balinese culture. We ended back near Ubud in a smaller family compound for a delicious traditional homemade, family served lunch. The only difficult part of the tour was a small detour through a very narrow forested area with a single width tire pathway that was slightly difficult to maneuver. After an embarrassing fall, I picked myself up, bucked up, and wheeled onward, just a little muddied. The best part of the day was the delightful insights G'day offered throughout the journey. In perfect English he answered everyone's questions and never once lost his brilliant smile- he could be a model for the finest Hollywood dentist. In general the Balinese are the happiest, most helpful, easygoing people on the planet and G'day was an exemplary host! Put this adventure #1 on your to-do list in Bali. Heck, they make it so easy... they pick you up and drop you off right at your hotel!

“Just beautiful”
Reviewed 28 March 2012

I can't say enough times how amazing the tour was..
Seeing Bali from the inside, the magnificent rice fields, the magical small villages and the people, was a very memorable experience I'll never forget.
The tour team was very professional, warm, funny and also very knowledgeable about their culture..you'll definitely learn a lot.
The last half of the tour it started to pouring rain, but we didn't stop! we had the choice to wear rain coats and to continue on and so we did, it was truly amazing!

“FANTASTIC!”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

My boyfriend and i heard about cycling tours in Bali that went through villages and Ubud's rice patty fields. We saw a brochure for "Bali Go Bike" while walking through Seminyak and signed up for a bike trip for the follwoing day.

We loved it!!

It was absolutely our favorite part of our trip. We highly recommend this to anyone, at any age, as the bike tracks are mainly down-hill or flat.

The guides take you to the Coffee plantation, a quick breakfast, bike trip with stops along the way at the rice fields and a temple, photo opportunities and also to put on rain-coats if needed! Lunch at the owner's family compound to finish the day was also fantastic.

A special thank-you to one of our tour guides "G'day" who taught us a lot about the area and traditions, and for being hilarious!

“Excellent morning in the Balinese countryside”
Reviewed 18 March 2012

My husband and I (both pushing 50) took our daughters 19 & 23 on this lovely downhill ride through the villages and countryside from Mt Kintamani to just outside Ubud. The guides Agus and Gede were very professional and so friendly. They couldn't have been more helpful. We were in a small group of 10 and they catered for everyone. Lunch at Gede family home was a highlight - food was so good :)

“Great Experience, safe easy ride, very informative and fun”
Reviewed 8 March 2012

A full day experience. 2.5 hours of actual riding time. Our guide and safety car took great care of all the guests. We were able to see the real Bali, the Balinese people, their villages, rice paddies, and local businessess as we rode on a gradual down hill route. We were fed breakfast and finished with a delicious lunch which was capped off with the opportunity of playing the local Balinese traditional gamelan instrument.
