We stayed here for six nights after staying in Ubud.
The location of the resort at the north end of Sanur and directly on the beach is excellent.
We were happy with our good sized first floor bungalow room and particularly enjoyed sitting on the terrace looking at the extensive well kept gardens, and the birds and squirrels.
It could be said that the resort looks a bit tired, but it is clean and looked after by the friendly staff.
The buffet breakfast is simple and has a reasonable choice for most.

We have just spent 5 Days in Segara Village Hotel, and it was wonderful. Staff were very helpful and happy to help always smiling. Well looked after site with entertainment every evening, singers, Dancing, and Movie night. As it was an anniversary even a cake for us on our first night.

This is a meticulously maintained oasis. Stunning tropical greenery, swaying palms, cooling water features, large lawned areas and resident guinea fowl, ducks and even a couple of chickens. Meandering pathways amongst the villas lead you to the swimming pools, restaurants, bar and play areas towards the beachfront. A more spectacular setting you could not find.

Each villa is part of a group but still relatively private, with small front balcony and sofa and nestled amongst tropical foliage. Inside two king singles are pushed together to make a king bed but each is separately made. The TV is small but adequate with plenty of channels to choose from. Although there are tea and coffee making facilities there was no spoon for stirring cups and no milk provided. Space was lacking; no bedside tables nor small table to eat from.

Bathroom facilities include a large bath as well as separate shower but the lack of lighting above the hand basin made make up and shaving difficult.

Breakfast was provided in the dining area with plenty of seating available outside around two sides of the main swimming pool... a great setting for socialising or just taking in views of gardens, pool and seafront. The offerings here were standard breakfast fare. I had expected better.

Overall all I found the villas average but the grounds are superb. For the price there is better accommodation and service available. It was disappointing that no airport pickup was included in the price. Nor was there a shuttle service. Although I have no major complaints I shall not return to this resort.

Room was comfortable. Unfortunately we had a power failure on 3 occasions - the longest lasting over 4 hours. The pools were good but there were little children in the pool wearing disposable nappies (which didn't last long in the water). Breakfast was average and boring. The gardens and surrounds were lovely and well-kept. Staff were polite and cheerful. Overall it was an average hotel.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms more secluded than the 1st floor with their open balconies without shade.

We arrived at this hotel in June 2017. We flew from the UK and were tired with a 2 year old - the welcome we received on arrival was wonderful. The staff had drinks and warm towels ready for us and made a huge fuss of our daughter who after sleeping from Hong Kong to Bail, was wide awake and ready to go. We were shown to our room which was a ground floor Bungalow room. We were offered a family room but the stairs worried us so we stuck with this. The rooms are huge with a very welcoming bed. They provided a cot for our daughter at no extra charge. Plenty of storage space and the bathroom was huge with a big shower and a relaxing bath. Also a nice sized fridge was supplied.
We loved the walk through the grounds - they really make an effort with everything here and it really is a joy. The pool area is really clean and well kept. Great choice of sun loungers and seating area. Water available from a nice chilled dispenser. The bar staff are really friendly and efficient. We opted to eat at the Byrd House restaurant a lot as they had a lot to offer. It wasn't cheap but the food was delicious and the staff always accommodating. The drinks were lovely too but again quite expensive.
We found the hotel really welcoming of us as a family which was great as we had been nervous travelling so far with a toddler. We will be back
