We spent eight nights for our second stay at Flashbacks. We were lucky enough to have Bungalow number 3 again, and it was like coming home. The room smelled the same, like cinnamon. This little gem is spotless, with lush gardens, and the food at the Porch Cafe is second to none. We had lovely interaction with the staff and some days just laid by the little pool, made cocktails and relaxed. We had our laundry done twice and very reasonably too. The short walk to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets make Flashbacks the perfect base. Do yourself a favour. Don't forget to sign the visitors book.

Room tip: Music noise from nearby club until from 9pm until exactly midnight. Then silence.

I wiil absolute reccomend this smal hotel, i stayed at a bungalow with an semi outhside bathroom. Every one was so nice and kind they offer 5 star services against a 2 star price. What more do you want. Good breakfirst at The Porch. I will definitly stay here again when returning to Bali.

Peter & Jan opened Flasbacks in 2001 & we've been coming here for over 10 years. The staff have remained the same in this time showing what type of place and atmosphere the owners have in them.

The rooms are spacious enough for 2 people for 1 or 2 nights but if you want to stay longer then we suggest staying in one of the 3 bungalows. They are spacious, own to & fridge & own bathroom.

The Porch Cafe at the font cooks the best food in the safest possible standard, something that Jan has seen to from the start. The breakfast that is included is wonderful and you can even get vegemite with your toast if you want a little piece of home from Australia.

It is very quiet out the back where the pool is but close enough to the heart of Sanur that you can walk around and not easily get lost.

If you are looking for a great place with amazing food at the best price, do not go anywhere else.

The hotel is behind the porche cafe. We booked two rooms when we stayed here, one was on top of the porche cafe and was an open style room with half walls and two beds. We loved the space and wood furniture, but I would not recommend this room for people with young children because of the wooden floors. When we took my young five year old up to visit his older 17yr brother his foot steps could be heard in the cafe. I think because little ones tend to run and jump. For teens that just want to relax and lounge around it was great, plus the wifi is strong in that room :P .We stayed towards the back of the complex in a room that had its own bathroom. This room was clean and large enough that you didnt feel cramped. The breakfast are great and we really looked forward to it each morning. The food was always fresh and tasty. The staff are wonderful and really make you feel at home.

Room tip: The rooms near the pool share a connected bathroom and could be good for families with older children whom like to swim

We stayed in the family suite of 2 rooms and a shared bathroom right next to the pool. This place had a great vibe and was close enough to the action of Sanur and the beach yet quiet enough to feel like a respite from the crowds. The breakfast was great and we just added the extras we wanted since they don't allow substitutions.
