Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: The Sanur Beach Promenade is lined with brightly painted outrigger boats along the water's edge, and good restaurants and cafes opposite. Treat yourself to a massage offered by one of the many masseuses with divans on the sand. If you're there in July, catch the Bali Kite Festival, a colorful international competition.

We were there in march and stayed in puri Santrian. The beach in front of it was clean, but water is murky and there was a lot of seaweed. No garbage was in the water.

sanur is not for our family. we arrived at our hotel and within an hour cancelled our booking and made plans to travel to the east. Sanur is definitely for the tourist crowd. lots of noise, shops and locals pushing to buy their products. the beach is not great and pretty dirty. if you want to shop and not do much else than sanur is great, but it’s not for us. there’s not much of the “real”Bali left, just seems to cater for the typical touristy crowd. Little if any Balinese culture left, but hey, you can get McDonalds, StarBucks and Donuts.

Well, from the pictures posted here, this beach may seem a little bit normal but let me assure you that this is definitely a beach that you wouldn’t wanna miss when you pay Sanur a visit. The water is crystal clear & the waves are mild yet calm. We went there during the low season so there weren’t a lot of tourists at the beach, it was calm & peaceful. Exactly what defines tranquility. Apart from that, you could rent sun chairs which were available on the beach. We opted for the ones which were offered by our villa. On top of that, if you’re keen on getting a beach massage while you bask in the glory of sea breeze. Knock yourself out! There were plenty for you to choose from. My significant other decided to spend her day absorbing some sun while pampering herself with some sweet Bali ciders, oh, once you’re feeling that the heat is getting to you, go on and take a dip in the ocean. It’s amazingly refreshing. One thing though, do prepare a plastic bag of some sort to clear away any rubbish or trash that you might have, we do notice that there were quite unpleasant amount of rubbish being left right on the beach. To anyone who’s visiting this beach soon, I hope you have an amazing time! Cheers.

A relaxing place to chill out. Lots of restaurants along the beach. And many hotels . And most of all amazing views and sunsets and sunrises.

Sanur beach has everything you need baring a hectic party style nightlife. It has a laid back attitude with lots of restaurants and bars stretching the length of its trail, plenty of local style shops and upmarket branded retailers too. All types of cuisine catered for and from budget to high end establishments. A fantastic place to relax and unwind only about 40 mins drive from the airport.
