My partner and I stayed at The Mulia in August in the suites. The resort in itself is outstanding, with everything impeccably designed and maintained, the rooms were spacious and of neutral and elegant decor.

Service in the Mulia was like no other, it almost followed military precision with all staff communicating via earpieces. Which has its pros as it adds that extra touch when the staff driving you around refers to you by name and also knows where you previously stayed in Bali.

We enjoyed the afternoon tea by the iconic Mulia pool which gave you the option of classic or Indonesian afternoon tea.

We enjoyed the private cabanas during the day and also relaxed by the Mulia pool. When we wanted something a bit more lively we ventured across the sand to the Mulia resort pool that had the pool bar.

All restaurants within the Mulia resort were excellent quality, The cafe breakfast and buffet dinner were great with an abundance of choice and the teppanyaki at Edofin is definitely worth a visit.

One negative I would like to point out is that during our stay The Mulia was an absolute ghost town with at times only 3-4 other couples or families about. The resort was much more lively bit even then it was still so quiet in contrast to the size of the hotel and hotel grounds. One night we went into the club and we were the only people there. This would be my only negative as the hotel lacked that "soul" with a good atmosphere and buzz about it

Excellent hotel and I would visit again however, aware that it would only be a visit to relax and enjoy good food

Sunday brunch at Soleil The Mulia Hotel lasts from 12 noon until 3pm. With variety of food you'll not get bored exploring the selection. On the buffet you can have Indonesian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and fresh seafood! and the dessert is also superb! friendly and professional staffs serve all you need. Food is tasty and ask for coffee if you're sleepy as you feel so pleasantly full! :) The mango sorbet is my favorite too besides fresh shrimp and lobster! Ambience is nice too. After finishing your brunch you may explore a bit the hotel grounds, take pictures with the ocean view background is awesome!

Room Tip: room close to ocean view is better than closer to lobby.

The buffet dinner @ The Cafe was awesome, fantastic variety of cuisines available, friendly staff, comfortable/relaxed setting - all for 56000 rupiah per head (around AU $ 50) however the prices of the drinks was over the top - AU $ 16 for a JD & Coke!

Went to the mulia which was the first stop on our honeymoon, I can't praise this hotel enough , the butler service was outstanding, the food was amazing , the room and especially the hot tub were superb , the beach was nice and quiet and all the staff were so friendly , ignore all the bad reviews it's just people whining about nothing , I would go back to this hotel in a heart beat

My husband and I have been in hundreds of hotels worldwide and have never experienced such incredible customer service and such a beautiful time at a hotel. Not only was the room full of tasteful and refined items but everywhere you looked, you could notice the attention to detail and the care that Mulia employees have for their hotel indoors and outdoors. Amenities were truly impressive and the pools, the gym, the multiple restaurants, the free trainings were superb.

Most Mulia employees knew our names and remembered our conversations, always trying to make sure to keep us happy...Also, the butlers couldn't have been kinder and more knowledgeable (especially Agus).

Tea time with the violinists at the Mulia brought me tears the first times we were there, as I felt we were in paradise...the spectacular signature view of the main pool with its statues, the delicious taste of the cappuccino and the fresh pastries, the captivating sound of the music, and the beauty all around surpassed all my expectations and made me very emotional...

We couldn't have chosen a better hotel for our honeymoon and look forward to going to new Mulia properties in the future.

Room Tip: Garden view is very nice too. I would choose any room at the Mulia or in the villas section.
