First of all I don't think I was in Bali during tourist season, so this hostel was very far from being busy. Therefor it was mostly very quiet. I did still make some friends around the pool during the hot afternoon and we all went to Sky Garden, which is conveniently just steps away from the hostel. The location is very central, making it easy to get everywhere and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room itself (private room) was very simple, however the AC worked great and the beds were clean and comfortable.

I came to Kuta having backpacked most of SE Asia and expecting a similar experience. When I arrived at TZ, the social aspect I was expecting was non-existent. Going out at night was sketchy and not very exciting. However, it is a quick walk from the beach and close to most everything in Kuta. I'm glad I only spent one night here simply because the rest of Bali is so much better than Kuta.

This is probably one of hostel on the more expensive side of Kuta. Its located next to party street which is good and bad.
It has spacious area with a swimming pool which I wouldnt go in as I havent seen noone shower off whole days sweat and dust before jumping in. Besides still water is perfect for mosquitos to breed and this place was full of them.

People at reception desk are quite nice but most of them speak poor english or with such a strong accent it makes a communication very difficult. Except from aussie manager who knows his way around. Also during night time dont expect much from them as they are asleep most of time, snooring on bench in lobby.
We werent given a key to room and had to walk each time to reception desk to unlock it for us. Very annoying!

There is a wifi. But only in the lobby. Rooms have 0 signal which put this place off my list for next trip to Bali. Reception desk response to this was they dont guarantee wifi in rooms. Well. I dont guarantee coming back than.

Whoever designed rooms/dorms ought to be fired. Theres place for 4+ people with very little or no area to leave luggage at except one cabinet for common use. Power plugs are scarce so we needed to take turn on charging phones. Bathroom has hot shower but is blocked by limetstone so its spraying water like garden sprinkler. Locking the door is impossible as the hinge is out against improvised bent woobly nail to hold everything together. Also the doors are so narrow that you have to go in sideways.

Breakfast is very of putting as well. I found a stove and pancake dough seating still. No jam. No fruit. No nothing. Few packets of nescafe lying around to help yourself. Probably worse than nothing.

And very disappointing is nearby bar next street. I know it says party hostel. But playing music as loud to make walls shake whole night is just too much. Partying is good but so is resting. Which you can do during the day in your airconditioned room if you dont mind rattle coming from the device.

Coming back? Maybe. If all tents are sold out.

Being at the heart of Kuta, the location is top notch. You will find all the happening party places & beaches around & also the airport (around 5 Kms.). There are 2 pools, both pretty awesome as you can check in the images. But there are a lot of negatives, specially the unavailability of Wi-Fi in the rooms. Overall, it was decent & is awesomely located for party freaks!
