We have stayed in Bali many many times, we found a jewel in the middle of the town, even though the hotel is in the middle of town, you wouldnt know it, the hotel is very quiet and peaceful We stayed at the Ida Hotel for one month. The location for us was perfect! we could walk to almost everything we needed ,the hotel is located just behind Kuta Square. Our room was the standard room, it was cleaned every day , clean sheets and mopped out with dettol :) plus sprayed with air freshener and mozzie replant.The bed was comfortable, the room included a great air conditioner, fridge and indostat tv. My friends stayed in the next room up maybe it was duperior room. they had a massive 4 poster bed and a wonderful outdoor bathroom, very nice The pool area is wonderful, the pool cleaners are relay pedantic about keeping it that way. there are plenty of sun lounges and grass areas, the pool is a good size and includes a spa pool. The restaurant has a good range of meals at reasonable prices, i never had a bad meal. Breakfast changes each day, but of good quality, no complaints. Above all are the staff! they are the most welcoming people i have ever come across in Bali, many of them have worked there for many years, that to me tells me they are happy, they described themselfs as being more like a family.
I spoke with the Australian Manager and loved her attitude that she wants to leave the hotel as traditional as possible, i would like to congratulate her on a job well done :)
I was hesitant to review this hotel as i didnt want too many people to know about it, but it deserves a fantastic review.
We will always stay there from now on, i have no need to look any further, my only complaint is that i never found it years ago.More
