Having spent some years traveling to Bali on business and some 28 separate trips with my wife and staying at numerous hotels, I thought I had seen it all, but nothing could be further from the truth.
The Legian Paradiso resident manager I Ketut Winanta (George) and his exceptional staff demonstrated to me what truly makes a hotel great and it is not architecture or rooms because all Bali hotels are much the same and beyond this when you retire to sleep for the night you can’t see it.
What then is the real difference? As a now retired Australian consultant to one of the globally largest five star hotel chains, I can say without equivocation it is comes down to staff attitude, a genuine caring approach to guests and a true joy expressed in the exemplary service they provide.
Congratulations George his staff and Legian Paradiso, only occasionally have I experienced a hotel that is run by a manager with the attitude of the Captain of a cruise liner who makes it a rule to personally introduce himself to guests once they are ensconced in their rooms to answer any questions and ensure they are comfortable in their new surrounds.
Revisit Bali? Of course, and Legian Paradiso is at the top of my choices.More
