Ok for Kuta. Location was fine (if you're looking for shopping and night life), right on the main road. Rooms were not as nice as they appear on the website. Pool played really loud music (e.g. Britney Spears, Eminem etc) from around midday everyday. Hassled even when you're in the hotel grounds to buy things/change monet etc. It all felt quite tired.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and this hotel suited our needs just fine. We had a little hiccup when we first arrived. Walked into our Deluxe pool view room after midnight with a weary child and baby to find no single bed for our son and no cot set up for the baby (even though we booked for 3 people and a cot was requested in the booking). Not Nappy!!!! Had to go back to reception and try and sort things out. Stupid late night hotel staff tried to tell us that we had only booked for 3 children and not 4 and it would cost more for a extra child. After a lot of arguing the staff finally realised that the baby was free of charge. Got back to the hotel room which was too small for 4 people and waited for staff to bring in temp beds for the kids and said it would be sorted out properly in the morning. This ground floor Deluxe pool view room was really noisy and you could hear everything going on around outside (the pool closes at 10pm I think but still noisy people around) The next morning we complained about the stuff up the night before and we were given a free up grade to the superior deluxe room around in the gardens area. This room was MUCH nicer than the pool view room. It was bigger and cleaner and slightly more modern. It had a massive bathroom with a dressing area, in room safe, cable TV, plenty of room for both a massive king sized bed, a single bed and a baby cot without being squashy. It also had its own table and chairs which we found handy with the kids. This room was also much quieter. The cons were that there was a small amount of mold growing on the bottom of the shower curtain, the grout around the shower wasn't as white as possible and the towels weren't as fluffy as a 5 star hotel but honestly, look around you, you are staying in a 3rd world country for goodness sakes. One tip, bring your own face washers as the hotel dosnt supply them as the Balinese dont tend to use face washers much. The lobby needs a bit of a revamp and the old couches dont do the hotel any favours. First impressions are not all that great upon arrival but, once inside the hotel, the gardens are AMAZING!!!! Water fountains everywhere, beautiful ponds with big fish to feed, immaculate gardens and lovely plants all around. You really felt a world away from the hustle and bustle of the main street once inside. The breakfast was lovely and the earlier review hat said "stay away from the milk because its left out and warm", the milk is warm because its freshly opened long life milk poured straight from the cupboard. (Balinese people dont often have fresh milk). The staff are super friendly and we made some great friends. They loved our children and played with them every meal time. The pool was fantastic. Overall we really loved this hotel after the initial hiccup and would diffidently stay there again.

Room Tip: Choose a garden view room.

My husband I stayed at Legian Paradiso for 6 nights over the Easter Holidays. We went through Flight Centre and our travel agent recommended it. I was a bit worried when I got back to work and read all the below comments. so we expected the worst, but I thought it was great.
We were picked up by a private driver (highly recommended) and bought to our hotel. Check in was easy and fast and we were given breakfast vouches for our breakfast each morning.
We had a garden view room. It was so quiet and peaceful (day and night). There was a water fountain right outside our room, which made it a very relaxing atmosphere.
We didn't here any noise from the pool or the main road. Very quiet at night.

The aircon is a bit loud, but you get used to it. We had trouble with the hot water the first night, but we were told to run the hot water tap in the shower for 10-15min before having a shower. Once we did this, the hot showers were brilliant.

Breakfast was great. They had a lot to choose from. They made omelets right in front of you, also a nice selection of breads, cereals, danishes, fruit and a selection of Indonesian hot breakfast.

The Pool was great too. My husband and I went to a few hotels during the day to swim in other hotel pools while we walked around the area (just to be sneaky really). The pool at the hotel was quiet and served nice cocktails (some other more expensive hotels pools were packed and played music way to loud and was filled with drunks). They played music from the 90's which was a bit weird. but we only stayed at the pool for and hour or so each night. so didn't spend a lot of time there. but we enjoyed it. No loud annoying drunk Aussies (I'm Aussie, so I can say that hehe)

The staff are really nice. One day were were sitting outside our room looking at the map and the Manager of the Hotel came up to us and introduce himself. He was really helpful and told us some great places to visit and show us on the map how to get there. One day new towels and water weren't left in our room. We called the reception and within 1min we had someone knocking on our door with the towels and water. The rooms were always cleaned to perfection ever day. The hotel room was big (plenty of room for bags and around the bed), the bathroom was clean and big as well. Maybe not the best hotel room we've stayed in, but not complaints, and certainly not the worst

over all, if we come back to bali, I'll probably stay here again. it was central and easy to walk to really nice bars and restaurants at night. Nice safe area. close to beach, markets. Walk to Poppies Lane within 5-10min. Walk to the Beach within 5-10min. Surrounded by bars and restaurants. But as the Hotel is set back from the street, you don't hear any noises from bars, restaurants or the road.

it's also next to the best Massage place. We went to a few, but this was by far the best. Not sure of the name, but it's right next door (on the right side). $4AUS 1 hour massage.

I would recommend this place to friends.

Room Tip: Choose the garden view room. Away from Pool

I've just returned from a week long stay at the hotel in a deluxe poolview room. We were on the bottom level, front door opening onto the pool, which was great to wake up to, but the noise from the pool and dining area as well as through the thin walls meant that it was never peaceful. If our next door neighbours had the tv on or used the bathroom, we heard everything.

The room itself was clean, but some things were a bit crappy, like torn curtains and old towels etc. The bathroom was good, except for the shower, it needed a good clean, I wouldn't be showering barefoot in there. The water came out of the showerhead like a mini waterfall, but in speaking to a few other people staying there, theirs was the same.

The food wasnt bad, breakfasts had pastries, toast, cereal, fruit, eggs (however you have them) and savoury halal food. The hotel put on a balinese dance and dinner night for 150rp each, where they put on a bbq and mixed salads, hot dishes, that was probably my favourite meal of the trip.

The location of the hotel suited our needs. Also it is set far enough away from the road, that you dont hear any outside noise, once youre inside

The pooll and pool bar were brilliant :)

The staff were mostly pretty friendly, but in chatting with a few they tried to sell us stuff, which I thought might have not happened once inside a hotel. The tour desk was good also.

Overall I probably wouldn't stay there again, but would suggest that for anyone looking at staying there, the hotel appeared to be geared toward a younger crowd. It is no frills, but for the cost the location and most of the basic things arent too bad.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the location. Right in the heart of Legian and walking distance to Kuta, A supermarket next door which was handy. But was an awful place to stay. When my friend and i checked in we were handed an old fashioned key with a wooden keychain and the room number carved on. We looked at each other for a second a bit confused, expecting to get one of those electronic keycards hotels will usually have.. that should have been a sign.

We stayed in the Standard Room, which are on the 2nd storey, up a flight of stairs (no lift) we had to drag our bags up with no help from the staff and found our entry to the room overlooks bins, a family of stray cats and the back of the linen washing building. Very old hotel, needs a major refurb. For $75 aud a night you expect somewhere alot better!! Very basic rooms. 2 beds with those awful floral bedcovers. Shower hardly worked, old tv only had 3 local indonesian channels. We got used to it after about a week, but still made the trip a letdown. However i have heard that the 'Pool view rooms' are better, so stay in one of those if you plan on going here, not the standard rooms!!!
