What a trip! Highly recommended
Unique and elegant design with high precision for the tools available at that time.
The road from Delhi was so nice.
Ticket prices are more expensive for foreigners!

It's recommended to take a tour guide and I would like to recommend Mr. Azhar Khan at Taj Imperial Guide whose a government certified guide.

Sincerely,
Raed

We visited this beautiful monument at around 9am and although there were many people viewing it certainly wasn't unacceptably crowded. Breathtaking is an understatment and anyone thinking about going rest assured you certainly won't regret it. Obviously you can't see everything but it doesn't matter because when you are there it is magnificent and somehow extremely humbling.

There are many sights around the world that look as good in real life as they do in a photograph. That simply doesn't do justice to the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful things you will ever see! It is simply stunning! Words cannot describe how beautiful this building is, nor the atmosphere that surrounds it - even with thousands of other people being there at the same time. If it isn't on your bucket list yet, add it!

Our time at the Taj Mahal was even more magical and breathtaking than we fantasised about!
It is also rather charming to see many couples waiting patiently for a photo opportunity at the "Lady Di" bench.

We visited the Taj Mahal on the insistence of our daughter, though we had visited the monument thrice before. But there are a lot of changes from the last time.
1. You have to park your vehicle at a designated parking spot and take an official CNG run bus from there to the monument at RS 20 per person.
2. From April 2018, you can stay inside the premises only for a max of 3 hrs which actually is sufficient.
3. We bought tickets online from the ASI site thinking we would be spared from standing in the queue. The purpose was defeated because in addition to the ASI entry fee you also have to buy an additional local taxes ticket. Though this is hardly anything much, standing in the queue is painful.
4. Thankfully except for the dome, the restoration of the minarets is complete. So no scaffolding to spoil your view and the photos.
5. The ticket office opens half hour before sunrise. Please chk the times of sunrise and sunset from the net. This is the best time to see the Crowds are relatively less and the view of the first rays of sun touching the monument is incredible.
6. Viewing of the Taj Mahal in full moon is possible on the day of the full moon and two days before and after. You have to buy the tickets for this from the ASI office on Mall Rd atleast 24 hrs in advance. These are not available online. Visitors are taken in 8 batches of 50 person each. Each gp gets half hour at the Taj. The first batch begins at 8pm. I would advice you to take a batch around 11pm when the moon is higher and brighter. We got the 8.30 pm batch and it was not quite as we had expected. Tickets are ₹510 per person.
7. However, the best place to see the Taj Mahal I felt was the Mehtab Baug on the opp bank of the Yamuna. Great pics... uninterrupted views!
