We enjoyed our stay at Angel Fire. The resort is a bit dating but still quite charming. We stayed in the Eagle Wing Suites (first floor) which was a good location. We had tons of room for everyone to sleep comfortably as well as a full kitchen so we could cook in the room. This is very nice getting everyone ready in the morning and also when the kids were exhausted in the evenings.
The walk to the slopes is very short, making it convenient to come back for breaks during the day. We were also very close to the pool/hot tub - these are very small but the kids enjoyed swimming nonetheless.
My advice for visiting at peak times is to book everything in advance. We were hear during spring break and I met many people who wanted to do ski school or lessons and found them to be full. By Tuesday, equipment rentals were not available without prior reservations (although there were other rental places nearby). We had registered for ski school and equipment in advance and found everything went smoothly even though the resort was at capacity. More
