“Right near Mehrangarh Fort.”
Reviewed 22 January 2012

This hotel is a bit far from the Clock Tower, in a more residential neighborhood. It's nice because you get away from the touts, but not all tuk tuk drivers will know how to get there. The upside is that you are a five minute walk from one of the entrances to Mehrangarh Fort, the main attraction. Actually, this entrance is right near the Flying Fox, so it's easy to be one of the first people to show up for the zip lining (important considering that the slots fill up very quickly).

We stayed in the Maharani Suite, which had 10 windows and a fort view. It was a very spacious room; however, it is located at the top of the hotel, so you have to walk up at least 4 flights of stairs to get to the suite.

One item to note is that the food at the restaurant was not good. Perhaps they are trying to accommodate westerners, but the food was very bland.

Considering the price, I would say that this hotel is a very good value. However, if you like being in the middle of shopping and near the Clock Tower, this is not the hotel for you.

Good room with ok price (700 rupees). No free pick-up, no special attention. My room was nicely decorated comfortable with hot water but my bathroom was a bit smelly. The food was ok but not great. However the location is fantastic!!! Out of this world views- in a local area with 'back-door' access to the fort- say you are going to the temple and save yourself 250 rupees.

Stayed in the suite which is painted with Indian scenes and colourful patterns. 10 windows which look out over the fort and blue city....but each window is nly about 30cm long and 15 wide so the views aren't as good as they would be if they were big windows.

No TV.

Good shower!

Rubbish food.....could get a better curry from sainsburys (a UK supermaket chain)....other than the auloo parantha which was really good

On our last night there were lots of fireworks going off around town so when we were settling the bill we asked the occassion and the boss told us it was a small diwali. We then went to our room and 5 mins later our hotel had fireworks....think they should have told us as we had already undressed so couldn't then go out to watch them

It is a bit of a mission to get ther but once ther you are rewarded with the best view of Jodhpur.
It is wothr the trip if for nothing else. We had a huge suite to start with and then moved upstairs to a smaller room, both were comfortable. The suite was in style of course but the smaller room was average. They have a great lounge inside if you can ever pull yourself away from the view. The food is fine and the staff friendly and helpfull. Very close the entrance to the Fort and the markets. Best place to stay for my money.

Very helpful owner, speaks good English. The best thing about this place is the breathtaking view of jodhpur and the fort from the rooftop, and proximity to the fort. Rooms were clean, ours had a bad smell coming from the bathroom, if we stayed longer we would have requested to change rooms. Beds were fine, food in the restaurant was slow but ok when it arrived.
The haveli is not accessible by car, we had the owner speak to our driver on the phone and explain where to drop us off and pick us up, then we took a tuk tuk to the haveli. Don't let this stop you going there.
