I was a little disappointed with our stay at Cosy Guest House. After reading the raving reviews I was expecting much more than we got.
It was by no means bad, the room was big and clean, which one expects for 1000rp per night, but there was no water pressure - just a trickle, at one stage no water was coming out of the shower at all.
It was on the wrong side of the fort, in a really quiet neighborhood, on the top of a tall hill. This wasn't a problem for us, but for older people carrying their bags this may be an issue as no rickshaws can get up there. There were no other restaurants in the area, meaning you had to eat at Cosy. The restaurant was fine, definitely edible, but nothing to call home about.
Cosy is perfect for an older couple or someone looking for some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of Jodphur old town, but a little out of the way for someone wanting to experience the full of the city and meet other travelers. It's really close to the back of the fort, just a short walk up the hill.
