Gorgeous fort in the desert. Very laid back town with wonderful havelis and sights. Definitely worth a visit. Step out of the ussle and bustle of india and into the past.

The Jaisalmer fort is very unique. The fort area is new and restored and the king has allowed the locals to stay within the compound premises, permits cars, shops, restaurants and everything else to flourish. It feels like you are within another city altogether.

We did not enter the palace or fort itself but the fort is the only to-do thing in Jaisalmer so do pay this a visit!
