Buffet spread for lunch was just ok. Though I am non-vegetarian but one of my friends who is a vegetarian had a difficult time as the food name was labelled but it was not defined as veg / non-veg. I am sure non-Indian patrons would have a tough time chosing veg / non-veg items.

We had to ask for cutlery / napkins.

The food here is very good with a good range of veg and non-veg starters and entrees. The range of cuisines is pretty impressive. They also have a good collection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The ambience is calm and it looks a lot more expensive than it is.

I have had very good experiences with the other Marriott hotel restaurants in Pune, and my son's friends had recommended this particular one, so went there with a family group of ten on my brother's birthday.
Half our group wanted the buffet which was indoors and half wanted to have sizzlers which are served in the adjacent open courtyard. We were curtly told that the whole group had to have either one or the other. Well, we settled for the sizzlers for the whole group. However, later we saw sizzlers being carried inside for other guests.
We ordered Giloti (Mince) Kebabs (which turned out to be well textured and tasty), which were served to us in two sizzler platters. When we asked the kebabs to be individually served, the waiter flatly refused, saying it was too dangerous for him and that we should serve ourselves. We asked him whether it was only dangerous for a trained person like him but not dangerous for untrained guests like us, and how he had carried the plates to our table without facing any danger? We also asked why the kebabs (which are not normally served in a sizzler plate) could not have been served in a normal serving dish. Neither he, nor his manager had any answer to any of these questions. Finally we served ourselves without any mishap.
Part of our group was vegetarian. They ordered a fancy sounding platter. We asked the attendant about its composition, but apart from saying it had mayo and vegetables, he could not describe it. We ordered it saying we wanted it with a large serving of greens. There were hardly any greens. Turned out to be a deep batter fried mushroom served on a dry bed of sautéed vegetables (no greens like spinach or broccoli, but only wilted looking potato chips, really tough cabbage leaves, a few carrots, and unchewable stringy beans). My mother in law had to wait for more than half an hour for her curried vegetables.
Mosquitoes were bothering us, so we asked if they could arrange for a repellent. One attendant agreed, but there was no action for the next twenty minutes. Another attendant was reminded. He promised the same, with the same result. Finally the manager told us that they cannot arrange.
The meat sizzlers were dry. When we asked for barbeque type sauces, we were told to eat the meat with mint chutney which was served with the kebabs. When we told them that such sauces are normally provided in every common sizzler place, a small bowl of sweet chilly sauce, a small bowl of Worcestershire sauce and a small bowl of pesto sauce was plonked on the table with a curt 'these are your sauces', as if a big favor was being done to us.
This may sound as a rant, but our celebratory mood was totally spoiled. The staff members appeared to be uninformed and unfriendly and were nonchalantly unapologetic, which did not help.
We lodged a complaint about the whole unpalatable episode and to Marriott's credit, a representative from their office did call my wife next day to say that he was sorry and that she would have a different and pleasant experience on her next visit. As for me, I would be loath to venture there again.

Le Courtyard Marriot was a pretty nice experience to me.
Lovely atmosphere and ambiance. Needless to say well decorated. There was a wide variety of food to choose from. The preparation was good too.
Do not hesitate to visit.
