Short of words to describe the beautiful island and pristine waters.
Very happy with the services of the only resort out there specially want to thank Yusufji, Salim and team for making our trip so memorable. Just posted a video of our snorkelling on you tube as a tribute to the wonderful acqauatic paradise. Visiting this year as well :)

Want to visit every year!!

White sand, crystal clear water - you don't even need to go snorkelling. You can see the corals, and ship wrecks clearly through the water. It is a paradise of its own and you have to go see it to believe it.

Had a wonderful weeks stay at the Bangaram resorts, where my son and I completed our Advance Open water Divers certification. We landed on a Monday , finished the course (thank god no exam or much of theory to learn and focus is more on diving unlike the First level!!) from Tuesday to Thursday , did couple of extra dives and wound up the activity by Friday morning, relaxed the rest of Friday and back to Bangalore on Saturday.

Only deterrent was the heat (given that we traveled in the last week of April) , but everything else was just picture perfect. Very courteous staff, great food, great hospitality and privacy (very limited tourists) unlike other scuba destinations , not to miss mentioning the unparalleled beauty of the place and the mesmerizing marine world.
As we had primarily gone for scuba diving, neither the hot climate nor the sulphur smelling water bothered us in the least . The rooms are basic and clean, but definitely need some storage and shelves

Incidentally we met some very interesting people/ divers from around the world and it opened up a world of possibilities for us.

The Dive team of Mr Rizal, Numan, Rashid, Kasim, Haja under the the leadership of Mr Khaleel were not just extremely able divers themselves, but were also very patient, supportive teachers and made our experience all the more wonderful. They ensured that we were comfortable, all safety issues addressed and our skills polished.
Hats off to the team.
I do not want to miss mentioning Mr Irfan, Hidaayath and others who ensured a great stay and all requests taken care off.

Couple of pointers,
1. In terms of visibility and climate Nov - Feb would definitely be great, though we were extremely happy with our marine world experience even in April, despite slightly diminished visbility
2. We used Ansolar 60+SPF water proof sunscreen ; this ensured less tanning and sun exposure compared to other sunscreens
3. The only deterrent with Bangaram is the resort is, it is rather expensive compared to Kadamat which also has great dive sites.

Dont miss scuba diving in Lakshadweep. You come out feeling that you have been a part of a Nat Geo marine world documentary. The marine world here is that diverse and breathtakingly beautiful. Its mesmerizing, fun and the experienced dive teams extend every possible support and make the experience all the more cherishable.

We cant wait to go back again.
