What a memorable experience of a lifetime it was. Neema is Jem of a person so is her family. We stayed with Neema and her family for four nights and we really enjoyed it. We took 2 cooking classes. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this heritage property for 3 nights and had a great time with our host and her family. The Bungalow was build by her great grandfather and you will really enjoy your time here.Everything is super clean and the room was comfortable. Very friendly atmosphere and good food. If you really love food then just take a class with Neema. Highly recommended.

The house was built by Neema's Grandfather and is a beautiful design, full of character. Huge bedroom with a good bathroom. Neema is a great source of information. Food is extremely plentiful, so bring a big appetite : she cooks a great dinner. No alcohol, but will chill down your own beers.
There didn't seem a lot to do on the island, but the ferry ( 3R) is a short walk away and is a fascinating trip.
Personally, whilst I like Indian food, curries for breakfast is a step too far!

A homestay ............ the best place to stay when visiting Kochi; you get a beautiful house and a lovely family who cannot do enough to make sure you have an unforgettable visit.
We had a large, comfortable bedroom, with a big comfortable bed and bright, decorative en-suite bathroom. The Bungalow is very conveniently located, though not in Fort Cochin, it is only two minutes' walk to the ferry, which is an enjoyable (5 min/3 rupee) trip across.

Room Tip: Both rooms are excellent, double is en-suite, twin has bathroom next door; these rooms are connected for families.

The homestay is a beautiful building with the ceiling and floors of polished rosewood. The double bedroom is an en suite and very comfortable. Neema and Prasad are wonderful hosts. Neema cooks an excellent breakfast and also gives cooking lessons, while Prasad, a former ship captain, is a history buff and can tell you of the places that you should see and visit. They are most hospitable, and we enjoyed our stay there immensely. It is also only a few minutes from the ferry, which takes you directly to the part of town which has Jew Town and the church where Vasco da Gama was first buried before being transferred to Portugal. While there, you should also book a kathakali performance, which is directly opposite the ferry.

Room Tip: The Portuguese floor with the double bed and ensuite was where we stayed. It's beautiful and comfortable.
