I was surprised in my first entry, this place is looking awesome and it is different comparing to other places in Kochi. I felt to take my family to this place for relaxation. Wish to visit again….!

It is believed that this is the first man made island in India and was built by Lord
Willingdon when he was British viceroy of India and i think that this island was built
during 1920s.Its very silent place nice to see when you travel this place by boat
you can also reach here by road transport.the island has an outstanding engineering
work.Hope my review will be helpful Thank You

Connected to the main land Ernakulam by road-cum-railway Venduruthy Bridge, the man made island was named after the former Viceroy of India Lord Willlington .An artificial lake was made by the dumping of the materials that were dig out while Cochin Port was deepened. It was a beautiful location well developed.

Built by the British in the 1920s this was/is an incredible work on a huge scale linking Cochin city with the other side of town. Initially built as a defense.
