We stumbled upon this place looking for local Kerala curries and Air conditioning (it was a hot day!). We found both here. We tried the Kerala fish and chicken curries with steamed rice and a salad. The food was excellent and the service was efficient. We requested them to go easy on the spices and they did a good job. We took some back to the hotel as well.

Food was very nice and spiced up Keralan curry to suit our taste. No issues with food or service. The r star is be sure the tables could have been cleared quicker, we then wouldn't have had a cat eating alongside us. Don't object to the cat being fed, but would rather not on the next table. Would also expect the table cloth etc to be changed afterwards. Would I return? Absolutely.

We enjoyed our dinner at the Hotel Cochin Fort Restaurant. It was different to the many other restaurants that we'd eaten in because of the buzz about the place - it's popular with western travellers to get a cold beer and to enjoy a varied menu, not only Indian dishes. It was almost full but the service was very good and we waited only a few minutes to be served. Our waiter recommended a few dishes which were very reasonably priced. They came quickly and were very nicely cooked. If you are in the area then please do not miss this place. It's a refreshing change from the more serious restaurants.

I mention the TV but it is not overpowering. I even looked up when Kerala scored such is my low interest in football. Altogether a nice friendly atmosphere.

Perfectly adequate food without anything special....spicy tomato soup and chicken Kerala Masala , with my wife having a veg curry. Nice cold beer for first bottle, not second!

OK, but wouldn't go again. Great shame the Old Manor Hotel was full!

What a sad place
The food when you get it is GREAT very good
BUT if you order more than two things then you have a long wait for your second dish, if you're as silly as us and order more than 2 dishes then you're in for all night.
You will need to ask many times for water or a drink.
It's a shame as the food is superb but it is let down badly by the lack off service which is worse than rubbish.
