Lovely 4 nights at Saj Homestay. Saj is very welcoming and organised all our activities in Kochi for us which saved a lot of time, including our airport pick up and drop off. He also suggested a number of things to do and recommended places to eat which were all excellent. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the breakfasts are a real treat. Make sure you sample the Kerala breakfast. We had this every morning and it was always different and delicious. I would highly recommend Saj Homestay if staying in Fort Kochi.

Saj and his family do a wonderful job of looking after you. They are supremely welcoming and take care of all the practical details making your trip hassle free. Saj sorted our onwards travel to Varkala, gave us contact details of other great homestays in Kerala, stored our excess bags and arranged our taxi back to the airport on our return. He also arranged a private yoga class and Ayurveda treatments through his local network so we got to experience Fort Kochi like a local rather than a tourist.

The guest house is spotless and beautifully maintained. Their new modern bathrooms were a welcome surprise (providing endless hot showers) and the rooms are double glazed so you are guaranteed a quiet night! Very comfy beds and a good breakfast.

Saj and his wife and daughter are also really lovely people with whom you immediately feel at home and trust. Thank you!

My wife and I both in our fifties, recently staying at Saj homestay. Saj was very welcoming and in particular helped us decide to engage a driver for the next part of our journey from Kochi to Munnar, Kodai Kanal & Ooty. We were very lucky in getting Stal Kumar as a driver. Stal was very friendly, reliable, knowledgeable with places to visit, and a very careful driver. We highly recommend his services.

This was my second time staying at Sajhomestay in Kochi.
Location is ideal. Walking distance to all the attractions in Kochi.
The Sadique family is delightful, so welcoming and friendly as well as most helpful when it comes to advise and booking trips and events.
The rooms are comfortable and the newly renovated bathrooms are wonderful.
Breakfast is either continental or Keralan and both choices are very tasty and plentiful as well as lovingly prepared.
Thank you Sadique family for making our stay such a pleasure.

Sajhome is a pleasant little homestay a 5-minute walk from the tourist centre of Fort Kochi. The owner, Saj, was a fine host and incredibly helpful in booking our airport transfer, onward travel and a half-day auto-rickshaw guided tour around Fort Kochi all for a reasonable price. He also provided a great breakfast and made us feel completely at home, answering all our questions – no communication issues at all. For the price we paid, the room was absolutely fine with a clean bathroom, AC, fan, TV, tea and bottled water. WiFi worked well.

We travelled in early September 2018, a few weeks after the worst of the floods. It didn’t seem to us like the Fort Kochi, Mattancherry or Jew Town areas were in any way negatively affected, nor was Saj’s guesthouse. We’d recommend that it’s 100% OK to travel there now. We were told that the areas of Kochi that were sadly flooded were across the bay on the other side of town.

Highly recommended and would stay there again.
