Ever since its inception into the Delhi food scenario, I've been a huge fan of the concept of incorporating stock market funda into the working of a restaurant. Not only does it make for a great economic sense for the diners as prices of their fav. drinks sometimes go as low as 25-30% but another great thing that this does is keep the diners engaged, esp. those poor souls whose company is far less intriguing than the ups and downs going on the price screen. This price screen gives them a opportunity to escape the boredom, even though for a few moments, on the pretext of looking out for their drinks' prices :D

Though the concept was brought to Delhi NCR by Vapor chain, my first tryst with it was at Cafe Dalal Street and I still remember that day as if it wasn't years ago but only couple of days back. The fascination with which our eyes were fixated on the screen watching the prices of our choice of cocktails go up and down before finally deciding on our bid was great fun and combined with some amazing dishes made a day hard to forget. The amazing experiences with this continued with trips to two of the vapor outlets in Delhi NCR as well and it finally led to Agent Jack last weekend. The rating I've given them must've indicated to you that my love affair with this concept still continues.

Already enjoying huge popularity in Mumbai region with its 3 operational (& 1 in pipeline) bars being well rated and drawing in huge crowds, it was about time to follow the paths many other popular outlets of there such as Masala Library, Pa pa ya etc. have taken i.e. of shifting their attention to the ever increasing foodie community of Delhi NCR. Here they have come up in collaboration with one of the first takers of the microbrewery concept in NCR, brewer street and even though this market already has the pioneer's presence in the form of a Vapor's outlet here but the experience at Agent Jack's will make you believe that they will be able to survive and thrive despite humongous competition each outlet in this market faces.

The setting here is the typical one, one associates with bar culture with naked walls, barely any designing on the walls, low lights, couch chair seating arrangements. What differentiates it from other outlets in the area (except one) is the presence of screens all around displaying the dynamic pricing of the drinks. Also they have a comic strip theme going on all across the outlet that begins right from the entry to the walls of the dining area which has frames having some of the popular movie dialogues being twisted in a funny manner to make them more relatable with the bar setting and drinks.

They don't have a paper menu for the drinks and one can either download their app for that or consult their servers on regular basis. We simply downloaded the app as that seemed much less hassle than the latter. For deciding upon which beer you wanna order from their brewery, they provide you beer samplers in shots glasses and from the four flavor they have; mango, apple, munich and wheat; we really liked the mango and munich one and ordered for those. The mango and apple ones had a lovely undercurrent of these flavors, just enough to make you taste them but not overpowering enough to turn the beer more into a cocktail. Following few mugs of beer, it was time to take on the creativity of their bartender who simply won us over by serving one amazing drink after another. Most of their signature drinks are an absolute must try.

The food menu of most outlets in this market are more or less similar, relying heavily upon the pizzas and the pastas and the burgers to take care of the teetotalers accompanying the drink lovers. Their menu also more or less treads the same path but they have enough new and interesting things on it as well to stand apart from those operating nearby. One of the examples of such an innovation is them serving karari roti. Now I know, it isn't much of an innovation per se as the dish has been around for long, but they certainly are the first one in this market to serve this behemoth of a chili laden papad that will still be at your table while you have gone through multiple rounds of drinks.
Another interesting dish that followed the karari roti and the multiple chakna platters that consisted of the staples of such joints; such as peanuts, channa, chaat, honey chilli potato, chilli cheese, mushrooms etc; was the hari mirch ka paneer tikka which the server introduced to us as the chef's special. The dish was truly remarkable and the chef had done a really good job in keeping the fieriness of the dish down by coating the soft paneer chunks in just the right amount of green chilli. The dish was served on a hammer and it did indeed packed a mighty hit.

While most bars rely on their drinks and starters to carry them through, here it is the mains where the chef's brilliance truly shine through. Their pizzas are an absolute MUST ORDER as unlike others who just throw toppings over a pre-purchased base, here the chef makes it himself and that soon becomes evident when you dig into this soft chewy cheese-filled delight that will make you keep coming back for more and more with each bite bigger and more ferocious than the last one. Hell, I'm salivating just remembering it.
Second mains' dish was no less extraordinary either as the kashmiri tiffin ordered by me had two of the most delicious North Indian dishes in the form of kashmiri paneer chaman and dal in it. The dal especially will blow your mind as such high level quality dal one expects from a high end place and not a one specializing in drinks. Ended the meal with cheesecake and brownie with ice cream and both of them were soul satisfying.

Overall, the concept they have may not be new but their drinks and dishes are and that according to me, matters more as executing something with perfection I feel trumps coming up with something new but failing to implement it properly.
A Must Visit Place!!!

Visited with couple of friends, good deals on drinks and food but don’t have many options for mock tails. Brewed Beer is good.

Ambience of the place is beautiful with good option of terrace and outside lobby sitting.

Mixed sauce pasta is good option of try out, crispy vegetables and achari paneer tikka is also good though option of nachos with cheese was not very impressive.

Burger size is also big so two people can easily
Share one burger.

Overall, it’s a good option to try for if you are in sector 29.
