“Great time had by party of eight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2012

Just returned from a 2 week all inclusive stay. We paid for superior rooms which were very nice and clean and comfortable. I can't understand reviews I have read slating the place it is lovely. Nice clean pool excellent food and drinks and a team of staff that are always smiling and helpful. Orlando did his bit entertaining on the karaoke and seeing that everything ran ok. The whole team of staff were fantastic, as for saying the rooms are a little tired, having stayed in Goa 3 times these were the most comfortable rooms ever. Give the lads a tip every now and again some people seen to think that as they are all inclusive they don't need to spend a penny! The only negative comment I can make is that I wish the hotel was a little more central you really need to get taxis to Candolim, Calangute and Baga, although these are very cheap. For us the Aldeia Santa Rita really was fantastic, with entertainment most nights. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Pay for superior rooms well worth the extra we were in D3 with a view of the pool near to reception...

I Really cannot fault this hotel the manager and staff are brilliant, the food excellent, the other clients also brilliant, for the first time ever in our lives we actually went back to the same hotel twice, and have already booked for next year.We are 65 this year and for the over 40`s I would say the perfect place for a holiday, Fun but not rowdy, and though small, very friendly, and a family atmosphere good entertainment in the evenings, with dancing if you like.Very clean and nice Gardens, nice pool area, plenty sunloungers and towels in sun or shade, perfect , really looking forward to our next time there.Yes the rooms are a bit Tired, but who cares when everything else was brill.

Room Tip: We always go for a "superior" room, costs a bit more, but get a real sofa instead of the b...

We stayed at the Aldeia Santa Rita for 2 weeks in February and can honestly say that we loved every single second of our holiday.
ALL members of staff are brilliant and so friendly.
Yes the rooms are a bit tired but the charm of the place more than makes up for it.
We met some really nice people.
Having never been to Goa before, I think we have are hooked and would love to return - and YES we would certainly come back to this hotel.
Thank you to everyone for making it such a memorable and special holiday for us. :)

Room Tip: G4 and J3 are good

Just returned from Candolin having stayed at the Aldeia Santa Rita. The flight was good, the arrival painless through the airport and then onto a small broken down minibus with no aircon.

Some friends and family have been to Goa before but not to the North and none of them told us the extent of the poverty and rubbish you see. This is a warning to any first timers to this part of the world, be ready for a huge culture shock. It was only after speaking to other holiday goers who were seasoned Goan visitors that you realise that everyone feels the same dread and immediately want to get on the first plane home, but as they say you get used to it.
Once you get your head round the beggers, young women carrying babys and sellers all after your money, you can settle down. I think the main atraction is how cheap it is when you get there for evrything. The weather and the beautiful beaches. Off the beaches there's rubbish everywhere, they have no waste disposal schemes so they leave it anywhere and burn it.

The hotel itself is tired but friendly. Electric sockets do work but wouldn't get a certificate in this country. The staff are very friendly and helpfull. The food is consistantly good but after 2 weeks a little repeatative. The hotels position is perfect for the beach which is stunning 6 km's of uninterupted sandy beach lined with row after row of laid back shacks. Bonos is a good tip with friendly staff, good food and very clean toilets.
The Hotel pool is a good size but someone has been economic with the truth as the photograph shows it as an inviting blue, it's not, it's green, but suppose that doesn't show up well in the advertisement.
The worst thing for me was the attitude of the perverts on the beach. You get groups of 6-12 men drinking alcohol and letching at the white women. Standing right over you and taking photos of you if your in reasonable shape and your wife or girlfriend. Gets too much after 2 weeks.

Our 4th visit to Aldeia Santa Rita and it won’t be our last. Stayed from 1st February till 28th in room G1. We were a bit concerned after reading some of the reports over the last few months but think they must have gone to another Aldeia. Although the rooms certainly need an upgrade the staff and the food certainly make up for the average rooms. From the excellent room boy, the bar staff, waiters and receptionist, they all made our stay memorable. The food was excellent as usual and may have actually got better with plenty of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Due to the ridiculous licensing times we spent most nights at the hotel as it wasn’t worth going out but did not get fed up with the menu. Met many old friends and made some new. Most of the guests at the hotel are very friendly and didn‘t see any clichés or anyone shown favouritism from the staff. Going back to the staff. Some nights they were understaffed and the service slower. I put this down to the management cut backs and felt sorry for the lads having to deal with too many tables at once. I had read one report about a break in. Unfortunately a room was also broken into during our stay. The hotel responded by putting new locks on all the patio doors and security appeared to have been beefed up. A reasonable response if not a bit late for the victim. That was probably the only downside to our visit and the ongoing need to update the rooms. Management please take note that the regular customers will eventually lose patience and move on to more superior accommodation despite your fantastic staff. The hotel is always booked up so why not re-invest and renovate all the rooms and get some decent furniture. Rant over.

Room Tip: Tip the waiters each night and you will never have an empty glass!!
