“Wow, Fantastic Holiday ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 January 2012

Our family, myself, husband, a sixteen year old and a fourteen year old stayed at First Landing for 10 nights. We had the meal plan for our stay. Although it is rated as a three star resort, in our opinion, it rates as 5 star service. We were more than comfortable, ate like kings and queens and had the time of our lives. The staff could not have been kinder
to our children and the restaurant staff were brilliant. We were able to plan day trips which were terrific although we had a few days just resting in our clean room. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Well done and thanks to Amanda and all the staff who gave us a memorable and fantastic holiday.

I absolutely loved staying at first landing with my girlfriend over December 2011 & New year. Met some great people and the staff were fantastic... The scenery of the beaches and the sea was fantastic along with the gardens and palm trees of the resort. Amanda the duty manager stopped at no end to make our trip enjoyable and catered for our every need. I thought that the food was amazing, affordable & extremely tasty. The executive chef Darren does a fantastic job and would recommend food to try when you were looking at the menu's.
I think there are some unfair reviews on this site... Some people are quite petty. I loved the resort and would definitely return! Thank you! Jon & Gem from the UK

Room Tip: Sea view room would add a little more to the Holliday

People at first landing were very nice but there was a lack of different foods and nowhere to go to find different restaurants. The big foot in the pictures was actually covered so you couldnt go swimming off it and the twin room we booked turned out to be a room for a couple with a childs bed. They are selling this property which could account for the lack of amenities as per the food, pool bar and services.

Stated here for three nights after our Captain Cook cruise. We booked with friends a beach side Bure, with spa bath and secret beach window. This conjured up a picture of a private outside spa with a window looking out to sea, it turned out to be a normal spa bath in the bathroom with a window which looked through the bedroom onto the beach beyond -- poetic licence i think! Everything else was superb, the setting was idyllic, lush vegitation covered the walk ways making it cooler to walk round the complex. Food was great plenty of choice, staff were great as long as you remember it's 'Fiji time' so not everything happens at once. Entertainment was good and prices reasonable. You are in a resort so apart from walking to the Vuda marina, you are confined to the complex -- not so bad! The nearest towns are Nadi and Lautoka, both about half an hour away by taxi -- not really worth the visit.
A great place to stay.

Room Tip: Go for the beach front rooms -- the views are great!

We travelled here for a wedding, this was the place the bride (Canadian) and Groom (Fijian) had picked to have their wedding. First off the wedding was beautiful and the coordinator was fantastic.
We stayed here for 4 nights in the middle of our vacation in Fiji. We were in a garden bure, which was cute but small for 4 people. The kids had small twin beds to sleep in and we had a large king. The bathroom was large but as with other places we stayed in Fiji it wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Thank goodness I always travel with lysol wipes.
The bar and restraunts had a okay varity of food and drinks. And a small buffet breakfast was included in the per night charge.
The pool was okay, however the guys that were to clean it and the grounds around it daily did not much more than a half assed job. In fact the one morning I wanted to grab the broom from one of the workers and show him how to use it (he was putting no effort into it at all).
We paid around $150 canadian/night... I would have expected a bit more for that kind of money. I have travelled to many places around the world and generally think that I have pretty acurrate expectations of what to expect... this place did surprised me.
All the complaining aside the staff was very friendly and helpful. And the beer was always cold. Really what else do you need on vacation!!

Room Tip: pay extra for the beach bure the view is beautiful
