My husband and I have just returned from Turtle Island - the best holiday we have ever had. We have travelled the world for many years from the Arctic to the equator, from Africa to Europe and never experienced anything like the friendliness and love that we received on the Island. We were welcomed and treated like family in the most genuine and magical way. The options were endless, from communal dining to private dining and beaches, sunset cruises and the most beautiful food sourced from their own farm, the sea and vegetable gardens. It was extremely sad to leave, but we have booked our return trip for 2025 and counting the days.....

Turtle Island's "slogan" is "once discovered, never forgotten." A review, or word of mouth, could not possibly do this glorious place, and these beautiful, wonderful people enough justice.

I will say this...I live in a place where beautiful weather, beautiful beaches, and a world's worth of amazing cuisine from all cultures, are mere minutes from my front door.
It's not the crystal clear, stunning blue water in Fiji that I'm coming for.
It's not the beautiful PRIVATE beaches I'm coming for.

I come for the kindest, sweetest, best laughs-in-the-world, true family feeling from every single one of the 100+ staff on this island, as well as the amazing people of the local villages.

These are the BEST HUMAN BEINGS I have ever encountered. They are full of love, joy, and laughter.

Executive Chef Ben blew my wife's mind with incredible plant based fully Vegan options, with creations she never dreamed of, meanwhile dazzling the rest of us on the island with every single meal and snack and more meals and more snacks.

Attend a Fijian Church service on the island with my dear friend Erami, and listen closely to EVERYTHING this soft spoken beautiful man has to say, whether he's talking scripture, or taking you on a private tour of the island, or telling you a story about some Fijian warrior legend.

The Queen Bee, Mere (like Mary) of the island may be the star of the whole show, even though she doesn't act like she is (most of the time 😀.)
Her infectious laugh, her big beautiful smile, her voice from the heavens, as she leads many of the random, and not so random, outbursts in song, leave me NEVER wanting to leave.
I've now been here 3 times, with plans of another return, and I can still hear her voice inside of my head, no matter how long between trips.

Truly, the most special place, and absolutely even better people.

The best way to describe Turtle Island is magical! We have traveled all over the world staying in various hotels, resorts, boutique hotels and the like and Turtle Island is truly one of a kind. Surely the location, bures and topography are 6 star but what makes it so special are the Fijian staff, and service they provide. Romance is alive and well on the island and although you are surrounded by what feels like the best family ever, you have privacy, alone time, and feel like you are all alone on the island but at any given time, you have ALL you need and more when you need it. 500 acres of paradise and only 14 couples that is the legacy continued by the owner Richard. Each and every meal is prepared fresh and healthy on their almost fully sustainable island. You are submersed in their culture and heritage and that creates a bond of a lifetime. We love the Turtle Family and as they say in Fijian Sota Tale! Andy and Denise
