“All inclusive with style”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2012

The Baron Resort is a lovely place to chill out and enjoy a week or two of uncomplicated indulgence. We stayed during the last week in March and enjoyed lovely weather which was comfortable both day and night, although the sea was very cold.

The 'Premium' all-inclusive package provides excellent value for money compared to many resorts around the world. At Baron you never feel like a second class tourist with a plastic wrist band and you don't have to wait in line for anything. It’s more ‘a la carte’ than ‘al inclusive’ (sorry!).

Honestly, the service here is second to none and the staff could not be more helpful or accommodating. Our special thanks to Ibrahim in the Sinai Restaurant and to Ahmed in the Palms Beach Bar for showing so much care and attention. Little things like getting a cold towel at midday on the beach or a phone call from reception asking if everything is OK and having your laundry done (FOC) before departure actually make a big difference

We were very impressed with the quality of abundant food in all the restaurants with Egyptian, Italian, Indian, an Outdoor BBQ and a huge International Buffet to choose from. The Piano Bar is excellent with highly attentive staff and all bars offer an excellent choice of cocktails and spirits. Even the local wine is pleasant and the beer is very drinkable. No complaints or issues other than having to lose some weight now we are home.

The rooms could do with a slight face lift and the beds are somewhat harder than most hotels. Nonetheless, the accommodation is very spacious, bright and clean, providing most of what is needed for a comfortable stay, save perhaps for a decent sized bath towel and a bath to go with it. However, a good shower is provided in an otherwise well equipped en-suite.

We have no hesitation in recommending the Baron Resort and we will certainly be returning soon.

Baron resort is a well run hotel which is striving to be better, situated on it`s own 700m stretch of beach looking out on the red sea towards Tiran island.
Our room was 507 on the second floor of the diamond wing looking out towards tiran island, the housekeeping staff kept it clean and tidy, always clean towels when left in shower and the mini bar was restocked every day.
The reception and guest relation staff where always very attentive and eager to help with money changing and booking meals in the specialist restaurants,
The lobby bar is a quiet place to have that before or after dinner drink if you can get a seat and you are served by either Apple or her friend Marites who also take turns looking after the Niche cocktail bar up the stairs from the lobby bar.Be aware the drinks in the Niche bar are not coved by your all incusive tariff and are not cheap,if you are on premium tariff{Thomas Cook guests are] you will recieve a 15% discount which also includes imported drinks in the lobby bar.
All main meals can be taken in the Sinai restaurnt which is buffet style, breakfast consists of the usual fare, cereals, ommeletts, fruit, yogurts, cakes , bread and toast three types of eggs at least, and for the full English there is beef bacon sausage quite tasty plus the usual fruit juices.
Lunch and dinner varied from day to day depending on what theme they where using over a seven day rota.
The specialist restaurants consisted of Italian,Barbecue,Egyptian,Indian, and seafood .
All the restaurants use subdued lighting at night to add atmosphere, I would prefer to see what I am eating myself but others may not.
The Italian restaurant is quit pleasent with friendly staff who brought out a cake with a candle on top and sang happy birthday to me and also presented me with a birthday card.
The Barbecue restaurant is out doors [Oasis pool bar during the day] on the night that we had our meal it was blowing quite a bit but being British we stuck it out and had a most enjoyable meal with the restaurant to ourselves others did not honour their booking.
The Egyptian restaurant is situated in what is known as The Boulevard which is between Baron resort and The Baron Palms hotels which share joint facilites. This restaurant appeared to my wife and I to be pretty authentic and the food was very good.
We did not use either the Indian or seafood restaurants on this holiday.
The oasis bar is situated adjacent to the large free form pool which as plenty of sun beds and parasols surrounding it,Drinks are served from this bar to the pool area if you go up to the bar your self [possible waiter service if you tipped bar staff] not what we are used to in a hotel of this standard. Food served at lunch time Hot Dogs, Burgers, Fish Dishes plus other barbecue food.Top tip if you want a good portion of fries or bread ask for them as well as your meal.
There is a nice bar with timber decking next to the beach with nice views out towards Tiran Island which does have waiter service and also serves the hotel guests on the golden sand beach.
The weather while we were there was very windy for the first three days and nights but gradualy eased off and the average day temperatures were about 26-27 degrees centigrade. During the first day my wife was wearing leggings to keep warm on the sunbed.
The entertainment at night took part in the outdoor ampitheatre and either consisted of professional acts or the hotel animation staff. We have seen a lot better of both type.
During the duration of our holiday we only had a couple of minor problems to sort out,but senior management got involved straight away and quickly put matters right. The management appear to welcome criticism as a way that they can improve their hotel for the benefit of their guests.

This is not the best hotel we have ever stayed in ,but it is pretty good and we would recommend it to people going to Sharm El Sheikh .

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the third floor in the diamond wing for views over the sea to tiran island,

We stayed at the Baron Resort in the 11tn March 2012 for 8 nights. What a beautiful place it is.
In arrival we were given flower garlands and a glass of local wine! This was a lovely touch! We where shown to our room which had 2 queen sized beds, (you can order what type of pillow and mattress topper you would like!) plasma tv, sitting area with fruit on the table! The balcony was huge with a view of the sea, gardens and pool!
The food was the best ever, we eate in the a la carte restaurants every night the barbecue being our favourite - the steak in here was the best!
The pool was immaculate and so was the beach, we really enjoyed the rose towels and the mint mist on your feet! the staff made our holiday they go that extra mile and nothing is too much trouble, we saw the assistant manager everyday, he made a point of speaking to every guest asking how your stay was!
I would like to thank the boys on the beach bar and also Matthew from the pool bar - his cocktails were amazing!!
I could really write all day about this hotel it was faultless! Thank you so much for a lovely holiday and hope to see you all again soon!

We recently toured Egypt, with a 7 day Nile Cruise, 2 days at Cairo and 5 days at the Baron Resort. The hotel is lovely, very clean, lovely gardens, right on the best part of the beach. Superb snorkeling and lots of activities. The food was very good although some of the speciality restaurants were not as good as we would have hoped. The best meal was in the Indian restaurant, some of the best food I have eaten anywhere, and such a lovely setting right on the beach. These 5 days were just what we needed at the end of a busy holiday. Personally I would be bored if I stayed here for two weeks, but I think that most peoplewould find enough to do as you can do trips and visit local atractions, which we didn't do.
