Cool design hotel, the food less than average. Service was not very helpful and it was hard to work out with them.the rooms were dirty, In the rooms were cockroaches and the air conditioning broke down, by all of our holidays, no one came and fixed it.However, every evening was nice and interesting show and a sumptuous dinner. All so Hotel have got mini ZOO, You can see Camel, Parrots and lizards. The bus travels every day from hotel to beach.driver is little bit crazy and way of driving frighten me out. But it is worth it, Red Sea is incredibly beautiful and
unforgettable.

We went to Amar Sina for 2 weeks bed & breakfast. Ok here goes - the good points

The staff are very attentive and genuinely friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are cleaned daily with the towels arranged into cute animal shapes etc and rooms have air conditioning.

There is a clean fair sized swimming pool, a Bedouin style tent linked to the hotel where you can relax each night by an open fire and have a fruit pipe for around £1.65, the who runs the tent is fluent in most languages and very friendly.

There is a free minibus that takes you to Amar Sina's private beach twice a day, this is a beautiful clean location with free sunbeds, ideal for snorkelling, fin hire is available here for £2.25, your personal belongings can be left here as it is manned.

Fresh omelettes are made every morning at breakfast, breakfast is 7-10am.

Regular taxis are available at the hotel, there is a pharmacy, internet cafe, beauty salon and shops linked to the hotel.

If you ask for a guy called Mohammed on reception he will sort out local trips for you cheaply.

The local town Mercato is around 10 minutes walk.

The main trips worth doing are The Ice Bar in Soho Square, Snorkelling/Scuba at Ras Mohammed, Horse riding in the desert and the sea, quad biking in the desert with the Bedouin, avoid the dolphins shows, have read reviews on here and it seems they're badly treated.

The bad points - I wouldn't recommend this hotel for children as the balcony's aren't very high, the entertainment is okish but repetitive, there are lots of bugs in the room at night so be sure to take some mozzy repellent with you.

The evening buffet is very good and value for money - around £6.75 although the puddings aren't so pleasant.

The pastries at breakfast are always very dry.

To make your money go further we always knocked the taxis down to half their quoted price, the local pharmacy in Mercato next to Banana Moon (shop) is the cheapest in Sharm, also there is a supermarket called Metro again which is the cheapest in Sharm for all your essentials

It is good value for money and to be fair you get what you pay for - would definitely return there

Room Tip: If you have children be sure to ask for a ground floor room.

very quirky hotel, nice layout, good pool.the rooms are large and comfy, but could do with a lick of paint. my main complaint was the food went all-inclusive, the food was not very good at all .the only reason to go all-inclusive would be for your drinks, booze expensive outside the hotel, and not many shops sell it. I went to egypt on my own and was my 1st visit, felt very safe, and the staff are excellent. if the food was better i would have given the hotel 5 stars.

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the pool, as its a bit of a suntrap

It was and still is my first visit to Egypt so I have no other hotels to compare Amar Sina with. I was there with my girlfriend and despite the fact we both agree it was a fantastic vacation I’m afraid Amar Sina did not contribute much to that impression.

Anyway, pros: can not agree with other guys commented on the hotel food - the food was quite decent and various at dinners (breakfast kinda sucked); the bed is pretty big; good room service (especially if you leave 20 Egyptian pounds on a bed once)))); the hotel is located not so far from the market with very cheap and very delicious fruits & sea food and from the beach to go snorkeling and watch hundreds of various kinds of fish and corals.

Cons: cold (no warming up – it was in December 2010) swimming pool; they apply some really stinky anti-mosquito smoke on the premises every day so you have to be careful and close windows in your room in advance to prevent your room from stinking; it happened a couple of times when I had a feeling a guy from hotel service was high or drunk; very poor entertainment programme; roof REALLY leaks when it rains; when we’d ordered a strawberry fresh at the hotel bar we asked a bartender a few times not to put any water in the fresh – he mixed strawberries with water about 50:50 anyway and then swore that there was not a single drop of water in the glass. What the f***?

Resume: Don’t make me wrong, I’m not trying to condemn the hotel or show it from the bad side as our experience in Sharm was quite good actually. Though I don’t think I would return to this hotel one day.

We've just come back after a 7 night stay at amar sina. I read the reviews after booking and was in two minds before going, however, upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised it was not as described by some wingers on here!!

The place was clean and well maintained. For a 3 star hotel you really can't ask for anything more. The staff are all sooo amazing and helpful. They make your stay more enjoyable always smiling and interacting with guests.

And they do amazing towel decorating thanks to Ahmed who is truly tremendous always happy and ready to help anyway he can. A true gentleman and genuine guy.

We were all inclusive so had breakfast lunch and dinner at hotel most nights. We eat properly and none of us got upset stomachs!! The food was good and they had a variety of dishes including BBQ. The only downside was u had to go to bar outside to get ur drinks at lunch and dinner!!
Again the restaurant staff were all very helpful and smiley especially young mahmood.

The pool area was clean and tidy during our stay and the bar staff were also happy and helpful.

I would defienatley recommend this hotel as it close to the airport aswell as naama bay and old market. The hotel also do a free shuttle bus to the beach which is great for snorkling. And they don't mind if you have food delivered to the hotel McDonald's KFC etc

They have a supermarket, barbers, perfume shops, launderette, snorkling gear on sale and a Internet cafe which is open till late onsite. The internet guy is very helpful and stayed open till later if required!!

The reception is 24 hours and the staff is great we will most defienatley be returning here!!!
