“returning as we liked it so much”

we arrived at the iberotel palace early evening and a very warm welcome awaited us,we were even given a room upgrade to a poolside room which i have to say was perfect,we had a garden view on our last visit 2 years ago.the room was clean and comfortable and the bed was huge just as i remember.the staff were mostly the same as i remember.i would like to mention mr hosney the food and beverage manager who was wonderful, always helpful smiling and could never do enough for us.they all work so hard.the beach bar is great and the food is good, limited but good.it was quite quiet which was fab so no sunbed hogging by other nationalities.mr aziz the boat skipper was the same cheerful and helpful..the snorkelling over at the coral reef was just as amazing as before.we were on bed and breakfast as we liked eating in the old town,at fares the fish restaurant...dont let them order too much for you as the portions are big.well worth a visit.also the local restaurant king grill is also great for kebabs and other egyptian food, vegetable tagine was good.a big thank you to all the staff who made our stay great, and we will be back.

Arrived back in the u.k last night and felt for the first time a review was a good idea.
Traveled with my husband and son (14) on our first trip to Egypt. After reading loads of reviews we choose Iberotel Palace. As has been said before very clean, no upset tummies, and extremely helpful and kind staff.
On arrival to our room we asked if we could move as it was on the ground floor and no real view being tucked away at the top end of the hotel. Immediately moved to two lovely rooms on the top floor with view out to sea. (1312, 1310). Staff could not have been more accommodating.
My son wanted to do some water sports and we used sun and fun on the beach, who were brilliant, and he was soon up water skiing and wind surfing under their very good instruction.
We also booked a days snorkeling trip with them which was really well organized and the guide even lent me his own wet suit !!!(above and beyond the call of duty!!) Go and see Mister
Twenty Quid at the sun and fun quiosk. ( you will know what i mean when you meet him). We were on a b&b basis and ate out in the old market at Fares,(sea food) Melodies (Italian) and the Egyptian restaurant at the entrance of the old market. All very good and cheap.
Also arranged at the entrance of old market at Vova Tours ,a quad biking trip plus tea in bedouine camp. We booked a private tour which was well worth the extra money as we went away from the big lines of quads and with our guide could drive away from the crowds and go pretty fast, great fun !!
The boys went diving with Red Sea College in Narma bay who were excellent and very safe as my son had never dived before.
Snorkeling at the beach near by was good although you get stupid tourists who think its ok to walk all over the coral !! The boat man who was lovely was trying his hardest to tell them not to, maybe the management should have someone there full time so their beautiful little reef doesn't die due to peoples ignorance.
All in all a great week and would recommend to go with teenages, if a little quite in the evenings ,and it isnt all hassle, just politely say no thank you and you are left alone.
The Eyptians love a joke and a smile goes a long way.

We have now been to this first class hotel five times in two years, by ourselves, with our daughter and grandson Charlie, and friends, the staff are first class always, and this has become our home from home, I cannot think of anything bad to say, mmmmm Heinz beans for breakfast maybe.
If you don't like the hassle outside the hotel then Sharm is not for you, but they are always polite even when they pester you, it's part of life here. We have to say a special thanks to Nabil the manager who always goes that little bit further to ensure you have all that you need, and to Bashoy our pool barman who is a very funny man.
The sun is on tap, never had a problem with the sunbeds ( borrow a pillow from your room to support your back) just the job, try the water sports your never to old.
Spend some money for there economy and give nice tips, they don't earn a lot and they work bloody hard.
We now have a tree in our name planted just for us, so we now have a small piece of Egypt we can call our own.
We will be back again very soon, so if you want a great Hotel and a fantastic holiday choose this hotel, you will not regret it

Have just returned from one week stay in room 2214 from 29/3/12 and wish we had booked for another week at least. ALL the staff are wonderful but a special mention to Mohamed Ragab on reception who extended our room time OurThomson rep Hashem who was so helpfull and Emmin? who did so many amazing towel sculpturues which made us laugh every day when we returned to our room Had a birthday whilst there and got a lovely cake, from catering and hospitality. Would recommend the Ulitimate desert experience trip which was well worth the money but you need to be reasonably fit to do it. Please go to this hotel as you will not be dissapointed (hope there is still room for us to return)

On a recommendation we visited the Iberotel Palace for the first time in March this year. From the beginning our holiday exceeded our expectations. The hotel is relatively small by Sharm El Sheikh standards and therefore very compact. On our arrival we were met by the hotel rep Annetta who was fantastic and when we asked for rooms close together she upgraded us to a suite overlooking the sea at no extra cost The grounds were immaculate and obviously full of wonderful colour. We had lunch every day in the beach bar and my husband says they served the best burghers ever!! The entertainment team seemed to do a great job - we do not avail ourselves of the activities as we like merely to soak up the sun and snorkel but the enjoyment was plain to see when a good crowd gathered twice a day to play a very noisy and obviously enjoyable game of boule/petanque!! The evening entertainment was quite varied and we very much enjoyed the professional shows of belly dancing, Annette who spent so much time with the guests, canvassing their comments and generally helping anyone and everyone with any problems. She and her colleagues are a great asset to the hotel. My only criticism would be that every monday night loud music from other side of the bay echoes throughout the bay from 11.00 until 3.00 am however this was out of the hotel s control -and would certenly not put me off staying at this fantastic Hotel again. I cant recommend this hotel highly enough
