Just arrived back from a 2 week holiday. The hotel is in need of major improvement but you can tell it was a good hotel back when it was first built.

The staff in reception are very slow and when we arrived, we had no towels or toilet paper. After a visit and 2 phone calls down to reception, we eventually received small towels and a box of tissues. We then said again we needed toilet paper and 2 hours later, at 1:30am, 2 guys knocked on the door with yet again, a box of tissues. We did not receive toilet paper for 2 days and then when we ran out, we were not given another roll.

The room was poor, TV only had 1 English Channel, the shower didn't run hot water and this was mentioned twice to reception and no-one came to have a look. The sink also stopped working twice and we had to wash our hands in the shower. One positive from the room was the view as we were on the 5th floor.

Onto the food, this was the worst hotel for food that I have stayed in. I've visited Egypt 4 times before and the food has usually been great. They did not cater for the English at all. The good was repeated every night with no variation. In addition, the staff in the restaurant can be very creepy and one night we had to leave the restaurant mid food because the staff were constantly staring and making us uncomfortable.

The beach was one of the major positives of the hotel. The only downfall was the 103 steps up and down however they do operate a shuttle train service throughout the day. The sea was wonderful and the coral is lovely, as always, the staff on the beach do approach a lot but they aren't always looking to sell and will just have a chat with you. Tito was amazing and we highly rate purchasing a sand statue or hand made bracelets from him.

The other major positive was the animation team. Major shoutout to Jimmy and Sam who made our holiday. They were great and helped us create some amazing memories in Egypt. The girls, Katya, Nastya and Anna are also a great addition however as their English wasn't the strongest, we didn't speak that much. However we did enjoy nights out with both them and the boys. Without the animation team, this review would've been a major negative one as they definitely do bring the hotel up and their energy and hard work shows, they absolutely love getting the guest involved and we were in many of the evening shows which is unlike both me and my friend but we felt at ease and loved every moment of the shows both watching and being in them. In addition, thank you to Sam, who sorted out an issue we had whilst on the beach.

The hotel itself isn't the greatest needs updating but in it's day it would of been an amazing resort with a good size pool and water slides. The food is average not somthing you could eat everyday. The reception staff struggle with English but you get there eventually. The only bad point is its about 40min taxi ride to central hurghada and cost you around £35 return. But what can i say about the private beach amazing excellent for snorkelling with the family and the sea is beautiful with lots of coral and colourful fish.

The hotel has a very beautiful beach and the aqua park is very good. But the rooms are not good and the food quality is really bad, house keeping service is poor.
I received the room without towels and I had to call the reception 3 times to get it.
The management needs to improve the level of service, they say that it is 5 stars service but I rate them as 3 stars only.

Sadly it's our last night today! We arrived late night on the 22nd August. A very tiring and long flight. However, upon arrival at the hotel, all was forgotten as check-in was simple and easy. Dinner time was finished yet the staff arranged with the chef for a meal to be made specially. All staff are welcoming and very very helpful. Couldn't have chosen a better hotel!
We sincerely thanks front office manager, Mohammed Abdul Azim, who helped us at the reception. Any queries we had or request, fulfilled them all. We also got phone calls to the rooms to ask if everything was good. Rooms were cleaned everyday and cleaners were very nice. Gave us clean towels, made sure we had enough tissue paper etc.
Secondly, our gratitude goes to the chef Sayed and all kitchen staff who made sure that we didn't go hungry as we were the only vegetarians. They fed us well and we loved there food. It was very tasty with good variety and delicious.
The bar managers at the lobby bar were very helpful and welcoming. They were ready to serve at any time. Good service and very polite. Alaa, Bisada, Mohammed and Ashraf looked after us very well in the bar making sure they served us good drinks.
The life guards were very friendly and looked after our 2 children very well. They made sure they played in all parts of the pool and were not left out at any point. The pools were very clean at all times. Kids loved the pools and the beach.
Lastly, one heartfelt gratitude goes to Mostafa who arranged all our excursions at a very very good price. Would go with no other but Mostafa. Helped with everything we needed. Excursions were better than expected and everything Mostafa promised, he gave us even more. Was very friendly and open and made sure that after we came back from the excursions, asked to see if we had a good time. Waited for us and came to see us everyday to see if everything was okay. Didn't just take our money. Very trustworthy and true to his word. What he promised, gave us a lot more. Got along with the kids really well. Would recommend Mostafa to anyone. Very good and very helpful.

Would definitely come back to stay at Al Nabila Grand Makadi. Enjoyed our stay very much. Kids don't want to leave!
Once again, Thank You to all the staff members at Al Nabila for your grand welcome to us from London.

The hotel was fine.
Sea view is wonderful.
The hotel is over a hill.
Aqua park is nice.
Food at the main restaurant is delicious.
Staff were mostly helpful & friendly.
Animation team is very weak.
Poor housekeeping as bed sheets & towels are not always clean and they enter the rooms without knocking the door first.
Too little staff in the reception desk so you have to wait for your turn.
The restaurant manager is lazy as the dishes get empty and not filled up untill people ask for it.
