We had a 1 week all inclusive holiday in the October half term 2012 with my two children Amelia 4 and Poppy 2. The flight is 5 hours 30 mins from Gatwick. There is then about a 1 hour transfer so quite a long tip for the kids but they were very good.

We arrived at the splendid reception and were greeted with drinks and swiftly checked it to our rooms. We suitably tipped the reception staff and were shown to our room. It was a massive junior suite on the ground floor. Ideal.

All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very clean and the resort well kept. The grounds were immaculately kept with very beautiful flowers and palms.

We preferred the beach to the pool. the sea was very warm and calm with a very gradual increase in depth. Ideal for the kids.

There are many watersports activities to keep people amused and the boat trips to the local reaf are very reasonable. It cost about £40 for a family boat trip ( were we were the only ones on board) in a glass bottom boat. This was well worth doing and orgainsed through the dive centre on the beach.

Our kids had a great ride on a friendly camel for £10

The food was very varied and tasty. We braved a couple of late nights with the kids at the restaurants. The Asian restaurant was fantastic the fish was great. No dodgy tummies here.

The alcoholic drinks: Beer is very good. The local wine is not the best! We found the tequila sunrise to be the best non beer alternative. Gin and tonic is a little harsh! The kids loved the milkshakes.

We had lunch every day at the outside restaurant and the staff were really good with the kids. Adel Kamal, Omar, Abdelaziem and Mima. Thank you for making our stay great.

The hotel provided entertainment for the kids in bouncy castles, costumed entertainers balloons ice creams. All done in the best taste though.

The spa and massages were also very good

All in all very relaxing, reasonable and would go again.

Room Tip: TIps are well received and help to secure the best experiences

We went from 12th to 19th October 2012 - 3 couples in our forties (left the kids at home) - and enjoyed a very relaxing break. The spacious hotel grounds are attractive and well maintained other than a few uneven paving slabs. The palm trees and grounds make for a pleasant view. We went all inclusive which included unlimited visits to the four a la carte restaurants (providing you booked them the day before). We tried all four restaurants and voted the Lebanese best. We all had varying opinons on the food in the restaurants but overall they were good. Both the Greek and Lebanese restaurants had outdoor seating in beautiful settings. It would be wise to wear insect repellent if you are sitting outside in the evenings as we did get bitten. The buffet restaurant, Stella, was well managed with a fair selection to choose from for dinner and lunch and a very good choice for breakfast (yoghurt, fruit, breads, pastries, pancakes, omelettes cooked to order, salads, cheeses, cold meats, cooked stuff, some cereals). Also good English teabags and milk similar to our own semi-skimmed. We mostly lunched at the Azur bar outside near the pool which has a limited all-inclusive menu but did good paninis with fries (if you ask for chips they think you mean crisps). Staff at the Azur bar were very helpful with moving tables about to accommodate us etc. Staff in general at the hotel were all polite and mostly friendly. Our room cleaner hinted for a tip but no other staff did. If you do tip the bar staff they are more attentive to your needs ie keeping your drinks refilled. They appreciate English money. Our rooms were large and kept clean but there was limited storage for clothes. The bath was smaller than a normal bath. Our showers worked well and we had no problem obtaining hot water. Towels were replaced daily. A hairdryer was supplied in each couple's rooms but not all of them worked very well. The hotel is about an hour's drive from the airport. Other than the beach which accommodates water sports and boats, the hotel is very isolated and there is literally nothing outside of the hotel complex so don't expect to go shopping. In fact, this hotel will suit someone looking for peace and quiet as the lack of hustle and bustle was very relaxing. The only shops in the hotel sold jewellery and clothing so you can't buy a newspaper, book, snacks or sweets. One or two of the shopkeepers did loiter outside of their shops to try and entice people in and start up conversation which you may or may not find offputting. The on-site pharmacy stocked toiletry items. Out of the 6 in our party, 2 had upset tummies but nothing major. The pharmacy was able to supply tummy-settling tablets which were inexpensive. The all-inclusive package included water and soft drinks in the room's fridge and these were replaced daily. Local alcoholic drinks were included between 10am and midnight. We were not able to get a pina colada or malibu and there were no cocktails on the all inclusive menu although it was possible to tell some of the bartenders step by step what local spirits to put in your drink. The men found the local beer drinkable - in fact they managed to drink quite a lot of it! Some of the restaurants try to charge you for wine so make sure you ask for local wine unless you are particular and don't mind paying for your own choice. Evenings were very quiet with only a few tables occupied in restaurants and hardly anyone in Johnny's Bar even though it was a well laid-out, attractive bar with pool tables, music and comfortable seating. The disco was always empty. We understood from staff that the hotel was only 50 per cent full which was probably why we never had any problems getting sunbeds round the pool or on the beach. Clean beach towels were readily available from the pool area every day. We took a 2-hour glass bottom boat trip out into the bay, buying tickets for this from the Nemo's rep on the beach. You do need to be reasonably fit to climb on and off the boat into the sea if you want to go snorkelling. The trip cost about £20 sterling per person and we felt it was worth it just for the snorkelling (snorkels were supplied with the trip). We were all delighted at the variety and numbers of colourful fish out near the coral in the crystal-clear deep water. The swimming pool was very clean and you can swim out to the pool bar for a drink. The beach was pleasant and there is no jetty into the sea - you just walk straight into the sea and there are virtually no stones in the water, just soft sand. There are not many fish to see near the shore - you really need to go out on the boat into deep waters for this. We only saw one colourful fish near the shore and the others were plain white or grey. The beach bar supplies drinks on the all inclusive deal and you can get coffee, hot chocolate, milk shake and fruit juices as well as alcohol. During out week's stay the sun set at 5pm and it was pitch dark by 5.30pm so we found it worthwhile to have breakfast and be out sunbathing by 9am. I have tried to make my review as factual as possible rather than just my opinions so it will be help future travellers choosing a hotel. All in all we had a very lazy but enjoyable week and were able to re-charge our batteries for the slog of work and home.

Room Tip: Rooms upgraded to sea view do not make you eligible for the Terrace breakfast restaurant. You need a further upgrade to beach view for this.

We stayed in this hotel from 26th - 29th of october 2012. we are three families and booked 2 superior double rooms and one superior double room with sea view. when we arrived we were surprised that all the rooms with pool and sea view :) and after calling the reservation dept. he explained that they upgraded the 2 superior double rooms to be near to the third one with the sea view without any extra charge. this was very nice from them.
Pros:
1-The pools are wonderful, clean and safe.
2-The beach is very nice but at certain times during the day you can't find any vacant bed.
3-The staff are so friendly and reservation dept. staff are professional.
4-The manager and his assistant were always available to listen to any complain and do their best to solve it immediately.
5-Rooms are large and typical as shown in pictures of booking.com and well equipped.
6-There was an entertainment program all over the day and it was so enjoyable for both adults and kids.
7-The breakfast is very good and tasty with lots of varieties.

Cons:
1- Housekeeping isn't good, we never returned to our room and feel that it had been cleaned or arranged well. one day we suffer from shortage in towels (they took the used without replacing with new) we called couple of times with no action until we contact the manager and he solved the problem.
2- The mini-bar doesn't cool very well.
3- The bed makes noise during changing from side to another
4- The dinner in main restaurant "Stella" was over priced and the buffet almost consists of carbohydrates only and taste wasn't so good.

we didn't try any other restaurant instead of that we went to senzo mall for eating. Also we didn't try the other free services but there are many.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay so much and sure we will return back. Thanks a lot to all the staff

Room Tip: Rooms of upper floors in the main building are wonderful with lovely pool and sea view. we stayed at rooms in 3rd floor.
