The signs are huge and eye cathingly yellow and red. This place is full of locals and a few tourists who are 'in the know'. If you fancy dining local style, this is the place.
First of all it's by the road side on the El Mashraba Street, so it might not appeal to some who are sensitive to local road noise. It's less than a 1min walk north from my hotel (Jowhara Hotel) past the Penguin Village/ Bishbish Garden Village.
Prices are keen, with a large selection of pita sandwiches or Egyptian plates. The juice is freshly squeezed and you must try their shisha, too. 5le for a shisha pipe with a waiter constantly checking you're topped up with coal... well that's better service than the seaside restaurants which I had paid 3 times the price for.
I went there twice. Lunch was only 8le (fresh OJ 5le & fried augergine salad sandwich 3le). Dinner was 'dearer' at 14le (Yum Yum Monster Falafel sandwich 5le, cinnamon tea 4le & apple shisha 5le).
There was only one waiter/owner who spoke English, but the other waiters are all friendly and most of the time they understood your order if you pointed at the menu.
Food was delicious and I won't hesitate in returning!
