I stayed at Port Said Hotel during a business trip and was saddened by its decline after 'Helnan' management left it.

The location is good but that's about it..... Service, food and facilities are mediocre, while prices are still high. The hotel is in bad need for total rennovation, inside out.

Not a place to go on for vacation with your family... and if you're there for business, make it fast.

Room Tip: Try to get a 'sea view' room.

Value for money... find a better one, this was not worth even half the fee.
Fortunately I did not have time to test the food.
Internet connection was average, for the password, someone had to go to the bar, or restaurant to bring it, the reception desk could not handle this heavy burden, so that when going up to have everything needed.
Cleanliness... others before me said it, some things were looking dirty, in disrepair and like no one cares for the hotel. However the bed and chairs did not look dirty.
No drinking water available, no hot water kettle, but there was a nice LCD tv set, for what purpose, I have no idea, didn't bother to switch on, to see if anything on tv.
There was a wedding in the restaurant, a lot of noise and the windows with a single sheet of glass, no soundproofing at all. The same noise on the corridors, people moving around a lot and talking loudly at night.
If I ever go to Egypt (hopefully not) and reach Port Said, I'll refuse this hotel.
They should do a better job, but looking around the country, everywhere is the same, there are good things and things that should be taken care of.
Egypt used to be better,,,

Room Tip: A room in another hotel.

I have never seen such poor service, dirty rooms, unfriendly staff and in total no lack care. Staff are no way near even trying to act to please, reception are very rude, staff are rude and you think that rooms could compensate for all that but you r wrong. Dirty rooms, voices coming from everywhere, bathroom, fridge, outside. It is almost impossible to go to sleep so as much as getting a good night sleep. Avoid if you can at all costs.

I can happily state that this is the worst hotel I have ever visited. Just some of the problems
1) dirty rooms including chairs and carpets
2) windows that do not fit so you have the delights of noise and fishing port smells at all times
3) No internet and when quizzed for password told in is out of service even though there was a very good signal
4) had to chase the restaurant manager for the non existent internet password
5) dirty bathroom
6) totally substandard breakfast
7) indifferent restaurant reception Stayed on his mobile whilst I waited for attention.
8) no kettle facilities in the room
9) no bottled water in the room
10) when I requested water I was told I had to go to the foyer bar to buy it

I could go on but be clear I would not return to this hotel even if it was free An appalling experience and worthy of a negative star rating if such a thing was available.

Room Tip: Don't go to this hotel under any circumstance The problem here is with bad management standards
