We booked a nice room with two beds. The hotel is spotless, with a nice pool area, and breakfast is included (fruit, juice, coffee (instant), hot milk eggs, fresh rolls. We drove, and as advertised, there is a gated parking lot behind (attached) to the hotel. NOT on the Salinas strip, but a two-block walk to the beach. Our room was right on the street so it wasn't silent, but it was fine. Quite convenient.

The location of this hotel is perfect - close by a beach that rarely gets crowded - close to the end of town, so streets become quiet at night.
The pool is large enough with good surrounded seatings.
Regular breakfast included.
Only negative point is that not all rooms live up to the same standard - some are very nice, others plain and dark. Ask for a room with a terrace.

Room Tip: First floor room with a terrace.

Talked to the front desk person, seemed like she'd rather be on her phone texting someone than speaking with us. We left!!! The place looked nice but we will not be going back to find out... Located near the more family orientated beach of chipeepee

great ambiance. pool area fabulous. really pretty and gardens seclude you from outside world. one easy block from good beach. especially good if you have your own transport. rooms are very nice and it has a classical hotel feel. no wifi in rooms but in common area and slowish.

During a 3 day tour we were booked in to the Hotel Amira for our evening stays. As several others have described.... the hotel is clean, grounds are lovely and the rooms are a good size. We were also there during the shoulder season in September so the hotel was not very booked which suited us just fine. Breakfasts were included but nothing special ( although they served buns with breakfast that my husband just adored...so it wasn't all bad) Coffee I think was instant and lacked what you would expect from a country who is known for their coffee beans.
The rooms had A/C and a TV but no glasses, cups or water. Fortunately we had our own water bottles and were able to fill it there. And yes... their staff at the desk were certainly more enamored with their computer than seeing if their clientele needed anything else. Likely need to ask for more towels as there was one set - but no big bath towels. I also agree with another reviewer....the Malecon was not convenient...we had to call a cab . On a busy road, so bus noise is quite pronounced. If you are there for a few nights...I think you're ok but I was thrilled we had chosen a great B & B for the rest of our stay in Punta Carnero.

Room Tip: If sleeping is an issue, try requesting a room that does not sit on the busy street
