Sea Lions and pelicans surround the small fish market waiting for a scrap of waste. A must see to get so close to nature.

This is the place where local fishers sell their product. The beauty of it are not only the children running around but the local animals waiting for something to fall: pelicans, the occasional heron, the frequent seals or sea lions. The best free spectacle of human-animal friendly interactions in Galapagos!

very fun to see the sea lions, pelicans and all other animals trying to manipulate the fishers to get some fresh fish .. they are quite good comedians to get what they want

This is a lively place to while away a few minutes. It's not big. Just a table or perhaps two. But very interesting and a real insight into the life of the fishermen and what they do. Of course watching the sea lions, pelicans and iguanas hanging around was also interesting!!! Loved seeing the sea lions getting given scraps and taking off with it or even fighting the pelicans for big scraps. A new way of living for these animals. Of course if you want to purchase fish you can also do this. Many guest houses are happy to cook it up for you! It is just a short walk from the main pier and on the way to the Tortoise breeding/recovery facility.

This place is great to grab a bite to eat in the evening! They are various restaurants in this market that offer a wide range of seafood options as well as meat, pork, and chicken.

Prices are fairly modest. We stopped by here 2Xs and tried two different restaurants. Both were phenomenal. One made me a cazuela on the spot with fresh seafood!! Beyond delicious!
