The location is no doubt outstanding if you wish to visit Opatija, which all about seeing and being seen. It is close to the centre and the long stretched beach (albeit with a looot of cement). Also, it may be suitable if you are a young couple, single or even retired. But not if you have kids. We have 2 kids, 8 and 11. There was no room available for 4 people at the time of booking, so 2 separate hotel rooms needed to do the trick. The rooms were tiny. You literally barely had enough space to unpack. The cupboards equally tiny. If you have the possibility, you must book with a balcony. Without, like ours, it's unbearable. We were even at the back side of the hotel, so opening the window (the window was in a dire state, could not shut completely), meant very loud street in the back (and we were on the 5th floor). None of the beach stuff could actually dry over night. Awful. Cleaning leady didn't empty the bins on occasion, and on multiple occasions didn't shut the doors correctly, meaning that anyone could enter the hotel rooms throughout the day (oh, and no safe in the room). Not kids friendly because: pool area opens only at 9am!! This meant long queue in front of the pool entrance already at 8:40. Literally 20m queue. Beach below the pool area is minuscule. No kids area at all, difficult to get in and out of the water. So we didn't at all go to these areas, but rather took the car to look for other suitable beaches (imagine the parking nightmare). Not our idea of a relaxing holiday with our kids. And certainly not for this price. Also, they charge you EUR 13 per day for the parking. Really?? Again, at that rate, why not incorporate that into the overall price. Just irritating. If you have kids, I cannot recommend this hotel. At all. If you are single or a couple, go for it.

Room Tip: Go for balcony and sea view. The rest is a disaster.

Upon check in on the evening of 21st August we were greeted by two young staff ( one male and one female) and unfortunately for the hotel these two staff members really ruined our experience.
The hotel offers a car parking service, a few days later the same staff were working and I asked if I could have my vehicle from the garage, instead I was abruptly handed the key. I asked where the car was and was told by the male employee that he didn’t know and he walked away. We were made to feel like a huge inconvenience for these staff. Later we found the car in the garage ourselves and realised that the staff new exactly were the car was, he just did not want to help us. There are a few lovely very hard working and respectful older staff at this hotel that must be recognised for doing a great job. But overall our experience was bad and we will never return.
Also, there was hair on the linen, a used cotton bud on the floor and dirty tissues under the bed. Although housekeeping staff seemed lovely they are most definitely understaffed and over worked.
Rooms are very small, hardly anywhere to open a suitcase and very outdated. Rooms were non smoking but smoke drifted throughout the corridors. The hotel lost power for an hour or so and we were locked out of our rooms.
The small housecleaning issues would generally not be an issue if we were treated with respect and with a friendly manner. A smile goes a long way!

It was a perfect massage. We had a neck and shoulder massage and they said our body was very tensed. They gave us a lot of information and advice how we can work on it at home. They were really friendly and there was a good atmosphere. Next time I take a massage for 3 hours. Thank you

Hotel has a nice lobby but rooms and the whole atmosphere is old style. Our room smelled bad, had a broken shower door and strange glass brick wall hidden with a curtain
Staff was kind and helpful. As for the location it was OK but plenty of other hotels closer to center
Beach and pool was good

I liked to stay here. I got what I expected. Price is bit overpriced to its services. Rooms need some renovation and also outside isnt look the best. Pool area is small and crowded. Sea shore could look much better. Breakfast is all right, typical continental breakfast. Coffee and drinks are not so good. Its a good option in Croatia.
