The hotel is in a great location: only two blocks away from the Plaza de los Novios, and close to the night life. The staff was kind and helpful. The breakfast is good but very frugal.

There was an attempt to make the property a trendy boutique hotel with touches of modern decor, and some of the rooms have European themes. There is a dining area, which is homage to Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and it is the best kept area of the hotel. I wish this theme would have gone through the entire property. The modern decor is mostly Ikea items, and it looks dated and cheap.

My biggest critique is the poor condition of the hotel: There is a clear need of maintenance, fresh coats of painting everywhere, a new reception area, and refurbishing the terrace, which is truly falling apart. Since there is a lack of upkeep the "modern theme" looks worn out and very dated. Please, see the photos.

My room was very big but several light bulbs were burnt, and the storage safe was not working properly. It took them two days to fix the lighting. The bathroom was in bad shape, and the lighting was terrible.

It is a nice building in a good location. I wish there would be a serious investment in maintenance to make it a nice hotel with a coherent theme.

The house is beautiful, staff is friendly and breakfast is delicious and generous. The rooftop has a little pool that works perfectly after a hot day. The hotel could be perfect if certain details were fixed (our tv and fridge didn’t work; the sofas in the rooftop look old and abandoned). It can get noisy during weekends because of the bars around. Overall it is a good option in the historical center.

Very nice boutique hotel conveniently located. Each room is different with surprising decorations. Stayed for two nights. Good food but no service after diner (difficulty in getting some beverages). Staff very helpful

Room Tip: All rooms are different - have a look first.

We stayed here for just one night but would have loved to have stayed longer , its a Lovely little hotel right in the historic centre ofSanta Marta just round the corner from the cathedral and with a roof top terrace and small pool.
The town is quite lively at night with lots of good restaurants and bars while by day the historic centre is nice to walk around and there is quite a nice beach as well, we really enjoyed Santa Marta and preferred it to Tayrona.
We had a fabulous room , the Barcelona suite with 3 balconies , the people running the hotel were really friendly and helpful as well and we would definitely recommend staying here.

Room Tip: The Barcelona suite was superb.

Small hotel in old colonial style building with individually themed rooms. The staff were friendly & helpful, breadfast cooked to order and could be taken in the courtyard which was also a pleasant place to have a cocktail or two before going out for supper. The roof terrace includes a bath-size plunge pool which can be put to good use for relaxing after a busy day out and about in the heat and wind.
