I have visited some interactive museums in the United Kingdom and I pleased to say that there were not significant differences with this museum. The interactive experience makes this place unique. It's a true travel through the Caribbean culture in Colombia. It's a "never miss" place to visit in Barranquilla. For your information, the surroundings have been refurbished in order to become in a touristic reference for the city. Near to the Museo del Caribe, you can find the Avenida del Río (River Avenue) and the Casa de la Aduana (Customs House).

Not the most exiting museum but gives you some idea of their history.
But in Barranquilla their is not so much more to do so why not take a look.

The best cultural place to visit in Barranquilla! The entire staff was very informative on each level! Totally worth visiting!

This not as much a museum about the Caribbean as it as about two men who did not know each other but believed whatever they envisioned as real was thereby real. The noise Is a cacophony of audio exhibits what flash by so fast I found it difficult to follow at best and impossible at worst. Take ear plugs.

I was surprised by this Museum. It doesn't seem like much but it does have very good displays and information about the Colombian Caribbean culture, on how it arose from a clash of cultures from Africa, Europe and American Indians. I very much enjoyed the videos on each indigenous tribe on this coast of the country. One of tour guides, Sergio, was really attentive and was well informed, he answered every single question I had. I highly recommend a visit to this Museum.
