I stayed at the hotel at the beginning of this february for four nights. A friend that is studying at the University of Shaoxing booked the hotel for us, because it was just next door to her apartment on the campus. She is speaking chinese so it did not matter that the staff did not speak English (at least the women at the counter). The rooms have good size, the beds are quite big, the room and the bathroom are clean and the (chinese) breakfast offers a lot of good and different food (well you have to get used to the chinese breakfast).
With the taxi you are in the city center within 5 minutes. Shaoxing is not a typical city to visit for western tourists, but there are some cultural sights, like the birthplace of Lu Xun (a famous chinese writer), or the Keyan Park (see my uploaded fotos). So if you are in Hangzhou and have a little time left, take the train (40 min) to Shaoxing. It's worth at least a daytrip.More
