The room at the Xin Liang Hotel was very special. A King size bed with plenty of room for chairs and tables supporting your coffee and tea making equipment. Then there was the extra sitting room which had a writing table and wardrobes. The large bathroom was a good size and had a bath. The shower was large and the shower head was flexible so taller people should have no problems. The only issue with the bathroom was that your towels were inside the shower screen so you had to remember to move then before showering so that they did not get wet, they did have a second set of towels at the bath. They provided toiletries which included a comb, toothbrushes and toothpaste, replaced every day. The bedding very comfortable. They also had a small fridge although it only kept things cool not cold.
The TV had some western channels, it even had an Australian news channel in the mornings.
The restaurant is on level 4. It is very large but can still fill up quickly at breakfast time. There is a good range of western food served for breakfast. The only drawback is that people can smoke, and do, in the restaurant.
The Lobby is on level 1 so take the lifts that are on your left when you enter the hotel. This will negate the need to drag your luggage up the stairs or ramp to get to the lifts directly in front of you.
The staff speak very little English, luckily we had an English speaking guide.

Good location across from a large shopping area and a McDonalds both of which were easily accessible via a bridge. Rooms clean and staff spoke some English. Shopping area mainly designer brands and mainly for the younger generation. Resteraunts nearby mainly Chinese but also fast food both western and Chinese.

The hotel is well situated and quite busy when we were there. The room was comfortable with basic toiletries. The lifts took a bit of time to arrive. Dinner was good and breakfast was acceptable. The hotel is well situated with some interesting shops relatively close to the hotel.

Stayed here 3 nights on a Wendy Woo tour.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Beds hard but clean. Good thing about this hotel was it was in the centre of the shopping district. So easy access to the shops and night life.

Breakfadt was reasonable with a good variety.

We had two meals here at night. First meal not worth eating....disgraceful.
Second meal looked better but I did not eat. Would not tecommend dinners here.

There was a bar on the second floor with sandwiches, hamburgers, cakes and drinks reasonably priced. Staff in the bar do not speak English so sign language is helpful.

Very few staff speak limited English in this motel.

Stayed here as part of a Wendy Wu tour of China.
Not the worst hotel we stayed in. It had the usual rooms smelling of smoke, hard beds and air conditioning which was centrally controlled and too hot.
Best part about this hotel was it's proximity to the city centre and to shopping and restaurants and bars. It even had a costa coffee opposite it. What a great!
Unless you're on a tour and. Don't have a choice, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
