Spent 4 days in the hotel. Room was very comfortable. Service was polite and respectful. Breakfast was varied with Western and Chinese options on the menu. Overall, very good value. Location is beside the train station and also there are plenty of taxis which are not expensive by Western standards. Would recommend

Due to my business nearby area and overall location is nice - near train station and market, I normally was staying in Ramada Plaza and was quite satisfied with everything. This time, as usually, I returned to the hotel and found out that it is Grand Continent now. Surprise surprise! Actually quite ridiculous, they just paste the stickers with ugly GC logo everywhere on top of every Ramada logo - toiletries, phone, even slippers! So strange...
They gave me a suite - a bit dirty and smelly, the bathroom is very small - cannot put my stuff near the tub as no space. And a dead cockroach on the floor was accompanying me :(
The breakfast became much worse either - rare variety, some food is not fresh..
Incredibly, how obvious change is in this hotel after Ramada took away the franchise.. It is a pity for me, because before the the hotel was just a right place for me due its location and services, but now seems I need to find another place for me..

Dear Sir,

We'd like to apologize to you if you felt our service was getting worse.
Regarding the variety, quality of breakfast and Housekeeping of Suite room problem,
we will promise you to improve them.

Since we terminated the franchise contract with Ramada International Group on Apr,
we established our own hotel brand.
Because we didn't have enough time to prepare new amenities by new hotel logo,
we pasted "GC" stickers as the emergency measure.

Though we changed the hotel name and the confused our important old accommodation guests by the change, we will recover the previous condition.
We apologized to you again that we couldn't satisfy you upon your stay,
also appreciate you that you provided the valuable feedback to us.

The Grand Continent Hotel, formerly the Ramada, is a work of art. It's a short stroll from the Dalian train station and the chingway. The restaurant and the bar, on the second floor, are excellent. Dinner for two: Y360 or $70 (veal, ribs, wine, salmon appetizer). Great sunsets from 18 Bar.

Room Tip: Sunrise and the harbour on one side and sunsets over the cityscape on the other.

First time visit in Dalian without any hotel booking. Decided to walk in to one of the hotel - Ramanda Plaza
Was lucky to have met Mr Mark, the manager. Like to thank him for his excellent service in the room arrangement etc
Would also like to thank Mr Jim also a manager for helping us to book our hotel in hangzhou.
Thanks for making our stay in Dalian a pleasant and memorable experience.
Would definitely stay in this hotel in future in my next visit.

We came there as familly, service was good, we got the baby cot as requested with a good baby pillow and blanket. Good English service.

Breakfast is very good. Although we had to fight to get 2 days for free and 2 days at 50% when it was written breakfast included on the website we rented.. so be sure to have a confirmation before.

The only bad thing was the quality of Room service food... don't even try it !

Room Tip: The Hotel is facing the Train Station Square, if you want a quiet room ask for the opposite view.
