You can spend all day in this street if you like strolling, shopping, eating. Yang Yangs, the Little Camel restaurant are favourite eating places. Mr Xu the silk tailor has gorgeous clothes.

there are tons of clothing stores, rock and mineral shops, tibetan religious item stores, and dvd shops on the street, as well as the bookworm an english used book store that has a good bit of local fame with the expats here...

try the street food, look in the little shops, take pictures. pretty cheap. also take a break in one of the tea houses along the canal.

Shiquan Jie was once a great place to meet friends and enjoy the hospitality of the bars and tea houses. Buy souvenirs etc but these days it is becoming more and more seedy.
